Was wondering if this was going to happen. Unions not allowing non-union crews to work along side. Got my answer! No red tape, huh?

Two things:
1. duplicate post
2. please see this link on the other thread that I just posted. The actual evidence seems to be lacking. And for the sake of those in need, I'm glad to hear it.

Wow if I needed the help and could not get it because of a union I would be shooting mad. Unions creating their third world hell hole is what this is.

The unions are simply The Mob with better public relations.
I hope those people in 'Joisey' freeze their a$$es off and understand why.

The hurricane-ravaged east coast has been receiving north Alabama help, but crews learned they'll be doing work in Long Island, New York instead of in New Jersey. Is this a baseless claim that fails Snopes? The initial implication of turning down workers is that the damage in New Jersey was not as bad as reported. Non-union crews are more productive and cost less than union crews. Not only does New Jersey not have a lot of damage, but they have plenty of money to hire less productive, more costly crews.

As a former Long Islander who still has family there in need of power restorations I want to thank the crews up from AL. and elsewhere for their help. Scrooge the Unions!

Sent this to Hugh Hewitt, Tuesday night:
Hugh,
Nice idea, that NJ and Gov. Christie would invite out of state contractors to help.....
But the Mob would be quite upset, missing their cut of the Union Dues and contract graft.

Don't know about Long Island, but Fox Business’s Stuart Varney conducted an interview with a General Manager for an Alabama power company that had crews staged in Virginia ready to move North. The Manager said his company was presented with documents from the IBEW that would require his crews to join the union to work in New Jersey and when they wouldn't sign, they were refused permission to work. His crews are now on their way back to Alabama.

Every repair made by a non-union crew means less overtime for the union crews.
So what if people don’t have lights or heat?

Ask the residents on Stanten Island if they would like to be rescued by a non-union worker.
To: Bushbacker1
This on top of Bloomburg re-routing generators and food from the folks who need it in Staten Island to the tents for the marathon. Seriously WTF is wrong with people?

The Manager said his company was presented with documents from the IBEW that would require his crews to join the union to work in New Jersey and when they wouldn't sign, they were refused permission to work. I guess when the people of New Jersey complain that they do not have power, they should just call the IBEW. Then, within 15 minutes, their power will be restored, just like Obama said!
Very sad state of affairs where, again, the unions put their self interests in front of the people they are supposed to serve.

I personally know an owner-operator of a dump truck who was turned away from the cleanup of Ground Zero (days after the attack) because he wasn’t a union member. Unions have destroyed the northeast as surely as they destroyed Detroit.
