90 percent of Europeans would vote for Obama: poll

More than 90 percent of northern Europeans would vote for President Barack Obama if they were able to cast ballots in the United Sates' election next week because they see Mitt Romney as too right wing, British pollster YouGov said on Wednesday.

While U.S. polls show Obama and Romney are heading for a photo finish, European voters in seven northern European countries expressed overwhelming support for the Hawaiian-born 51-year-old White House incumbent.

In a Europe grappling with economic crisis and welfare systems that bond investors say are unsustainable, the rhetoric of the U.S. presidential race simply does not press the same buttons.

"Accusations of socialism (against Obama) don't exactly resonate somewhere like Denmark," Twyman said.

We solved the problem by eliminating the national origins immigration quotas. Just keep them out of here and we’ll be OK.

"Many of you have in your veins German and Italian blood. But remember that these ancestors of yours so loved freedom that they gave up home and country to cross the ocean in search of liberty. The ancestors of the people we shall kill lacked the courage to make such a sacrifice and remained slaves."

Great news actually, as they’ll feel the benefits of adult, mature
leadership. A teachable moment is coming.

I commented that Europeans want Obama simply because they want America brought down to the low level of Europe.

Only in times of peace and prosperity.

If there is a war, they want us to pull their chestnuts out of the fire.

If there is an economic crash, they want us to bail them out, but their stuff and send tourists to occupy their overpriced hotel rooms.

One exception to the rule is the Poles. They've been there, done that, suffered the consequences and have put up a statue of Ronald Reagan to remind the younger generations who partnered with Pope John Paul II to free them. If somebody gave me a free trip to one country in Europe, I'd pick Poland for that reason alone. They aren't ingrates.

Unexpected? Europeans are hamsters.

Every. Single. Last. One.

They all want the gravy train to continue and want somebody to scratch their ears with the right promises.

The non-conformist 10% are the sane and self-reliant.

Europe needs another war to thin the ranks.

I suspect they’ll get it within the next decade or two.

It certainly answers the question of WHY the European Union is so far in the shitter. They LOVE socialists and handouts which is what Obummer represents.

He's the guy they've heard of.

They don't know the other guy.

Also, they don't like Bush very much.

I always would like to think that maybe there is a silent, maybe not majority, but a sizable chunk of Europeans who would really favor economic freedom and freedom in general. Then I see or read something like this and I know it just isn't the case. I wonder how? why? how can they not want more? It's not like they don't travel (many of them) and don't see how different their lives could be.

I am convinced all they care about is leisure time. Whether it be in the form of vacations, 9-3 work days, sick days, workman's comp, maternity/paternity leave, etc.
