The shot gun remedy should have been very evident. The first load of No. 8 bird shot across the legs with a second of buck shot in case the first was not pursuasive enough.
There are no shortage of guns in that area. A lot of cops call that area home.
Guns are evil in NYC. Just ask the majority of the NYC electorate who keep voting for anti-gun fanatics. Self devense and defense of your property are serious crimes in NY and self defence with a gun is probably the worst crime you can commit there - just ask Bernard Goetz.
Farmers and orchard owners used to use rock salt. I can attest that it is a very painful and effective deterent.
It’s NYC - citizens are essentially barred from owning guns. :P
