What a difference a storm named Sandy makes, eh, Mr. President?
Thanks to Sandy, Barack Obama can act presidential once again at least on TV. Sandy allows him to get on that phone with those FEMA bureaucrats and tell them to stop talking and do something. And Sandy brought him praise from that chunky Republican governor from New Jersey.

Unreal storm. I live over 1100 miles from where it made landfall, and were feeling the effects of it today. Wind gusts 45-50 mph. We are so far inland we have never been directly affected by a hurricane before now.
Great, we lost New Jersey.
And by all means, delay the voting a little to let the candidate go and do the right thing. Problem is, it gives Romney more time to unravel the kind of person Obama portrays him to be. Think about it, if Romney has no problem multitasking campaigning and giving notice to the fact that people deserve help on the East Coast, it makes it hard to believe the idea that he is some selfish stooge, unless you are loyal to the point of insanity for Obama.
The storm wiped out 3 days of campaigning and 3 days worth of TV focus on the election, plus millions of people who won’t see the ads he wants them to see.
Yeah, it saved him, sure....
"I said drop off 40 cases of water from truck #3.
Hello! Hello! Hello.....
Valerie - I think this phone's broken too."
Yep. obama will be on TV tomorrow with the guy who first pushed Romney.
The sad thing is that the storm damage is so widespread that Obama can’t do anything large enough to make a difference. He helps New Jersey and it gets little notice. And Bloomberg says stay away from New York City.
For the president to look like he’s having an impact, the area of damage has to be small enough that your actions look like they are making a difference. You could do that with New York City in 2001, or New Orleans in 2005, or Oklahoma City in 1995. But there’s no show of presidential force that can be big enough for this problem.
Amen brother. You speak the truth. All else is just noise.
As someone who rode out Katrina, I can tell you that the church and private donations got there much quicker than the Government "aid". When the folks on the eastern seaboard see that Romney acted quicker than Obama, they know who to vote for Tuesday. I predict Romney wins at least 60% of the vote.
I definitely think it helps Obama.
Will it save him? Tougher question to answer.
I sure hope not, but for the millions of low information (moron) voters out there who will be heading to the polls next week, it probably makes some impact.
Funny thing, in 2013 there is a possible Hurricane Barry:

“Oh no, this is going to help Obama...what ever shall we do?”
I swear, some of you people are just embarrassing.
obama looks confused and uncertain what to do.
What is eerie, and I’m not trying to go all religious on you, is that the area of Sandy’s impact is almost entirely in the Blue states. If Obama had a chance to show strong in these states, that just got wiped out. This reminds me of the 2000 election. I felt that God would not let this go against the future of this country. All the hanging chads and recounts, and Gore could not get the edge.
So this storm hits all the areas where the most Democrats would vote. New York City, Westchester, New Jersey, Connecticut, Philadelphia. So the upstate vote in New York may finally count more than the NYC vote. And the rural areas of Connecticut more than New Haven and Hartford. And Western PA more than Philadelphia. Possible Romney wins?
Is this God’s plan? He knows that this country is the world’s only hope for moral leadership and freedom. He will not let this country turn against the right path. It is very odd, but somehow seems like divine intervention.
Personally, I think Romney will have over 300 Electoral Votes before the final votes are tallied in these crippled states. Even before the Dems start whining that people in these blue states did not get a fair chance to vote. Should be interesting. But these states WON’T MATTER.
Then address those people.
This hurts Obama’s ground game in VA, PA and OH.
I agree, a week of trying to appear competent is not going to erase the last four years.
BO won’t have enough time to spend your children’s future earnings, to buy enough votes, to save his sorry @$$....
I think it makes hime look impotent:
Romney is shown rolling up his sleeves and taking action. Obama is shown giving a speech.
When there is an emergency, a little less talk and a lot more action is appreciated.
Now translate that to Benghazi: What did Obama do? Talked-allegedly told someone to take care of it. What action did he take: Watched in the situation room and went to bed.
Somehow I don’t think President Romney would do that, do you? He seems to be about action.
That’s what I think about when I see the two today.
