Democrats more than Republicans are getting their most loyal supporters to vote early, but with polls showing a close race among those who have voted so far, concerns are being raised about a GOP tsunami on the actual Election Day, next Tuesday.
According to a GOP analysis of early voting and absentee ballot requests provided to Secrets, the Democrats are turning out their most reliable, or so-called "high propensity voters" than Republicans, leaving fewer for Election Day. The GOP is pushing weaker supporters to vote early, expecting high enthusiasm to drive their regular supporters to the polls next week.

The margin of R & R’s victory over Obama will be equal to or greater than Obama’s margin of victory over McCain in 2008, which was 7%.
I call November 6th National Obama Repudiation Day...
The stakes are too high. If Obama gets back in, he’ll appoint 1, maybe two, more Sotomayors or Kagans to the USSC. That’s the end of this nation, as we know it.
“That’s what I fear, that Romney will change his mind and only reform Obamacare.”
I don’t think he would do that. He wouldn’t have a chance of being re-elected. GOP voters have long memories.
Wife went to the Mesquite, NV Senior Center for some sewing thingy. Forgot that they held early voting there today, and her group was crowded out of the room they usually used. Says there were lines waiting to vote, and when we drove by later, the parking lot was still packed.
A few of that group I talked with earlier were disillusioned obama types or hard-core Pubbies, so I think this is a small indication of the coming tsunami.
But then, on election night 2008 I thought sure people would see through the empty suit and vote for McCain and Sarah. :-(
For what it’s worth. Gotta admit though, I haven’t seen this kind of fervor since the Reagan days.
There is zero enthusiasm for Obama in NYC. I live here and don’t see anything for him.
Yeah, really Sammy
How’s the marijuana ballot measure doing in your state? Up or down?
The Democrats get them out early so that they have time to vote again and again.
Great poster, but soon I am going to make an effort to purge my hard drive of that visage. Perhaps I will save a few items just in case he makes a comeback attempt, but by then we’ll be able to create even better posters based on an even more thorough analysis of BenghaziGate.
Absolutely not. In fact, it is Obama supporters who sound like we did last year. The numbers are totally turned around from 4 years ago.
I hear ya. Sounds like a good idea.
I shouldn’t have shortened my previous tagline..
(Remember the 2010 movement...Next Tsunami wave is building.)
Nope.
McCain never held a lead in any poll at this stage of the game, and 99.9% of FReepers were resigned to his defeat by this point.
I do think we are overestimating the chances of a Romney blowout. I give him a slight edge, but unless Obama gets a big surge from his single-handedly saving the country from the hurricane, I think Romney wins a close one next week.
I work in the Bronx and four years ago, you couldnt go three feet without seeing an Obama sticker. This year, I have seen maybe two.
Those of us who stormed the switchboards and DC itself over the immigration bill(s) in the Senate have not gone to sleep since. McCain was not able to secure us, but -bama, Pelosi and Reid have assured that we will not go asleep again.
I know that the TeaParty is working hard here for election of those we gained in ‘10. There is only one election since Reagan where I have seen nearly this much excitement for the GOP candidate, that is in 2000. I believe there is strong chance that we have a coat-tails election coming next week, and -bama can’t even wear a sport coat well.
I did Early Voting here in FL already as I am going to be out of town on Election Day....and it was quite busy
My Florida county (Seminole County...yes my FR name) is the most GOP and Conservative county in the state....and those voting and working the polls have never seen it so busy with Early Voting....and these people voting were not Obama Supporters...
Don’t buy the “Democrats are way ahead in Early Voting”. Granted my county is very strong GOP...but the GOP and conservatives are coming out in droves
I’m in the Bronx too and you would not even know an election is next week.
