This is interesting, I do have a question about Creditors calling constantly concerning my nephew who lived with us over fifteen years ago, I tell them I don’t know where he is and to stop calling me but it continues.

Would this work the same for creditors, I just want them to stop.

I don’t think there isn’t a person that hasn’t received a call from “Rachel at Credit Services”.......

What if the calls stop for a 60 days and then start up again?

I’ve been getting a lot of telemarketers where the phone number isn’t listed, but says “private caller.” What are you supposed to do then?

I keep getting calls from machines who ask if I want to lower my interest payments on credit. I’m supposed to press 1 to talk with someone or 3 to not be bothered again. Unfortunately, because of my message service, when I press 3 the call is deleted without their getting it. If a message is left and I press 1 the message replays. So agrivating!!

List any ident data available for the responsible people, from owners down.

Including physical address and photos.

Great idea.

Anyone here get called by “Samantha” at “Card Services” about twice a month?

Those guys are impossible to stop.

I also have the misfortune to be an old guy who doesn't need a cell phone and gets along just fine with a cheap-as-dirt land line phone.

The problem?

Every time some scofflaw in my apartment complex ends up being dunned by a collection agency, a “Reverse Phone Book” spits out my number when the agency can't find the debtor.

Those guys actually do just call once and stop, but that's like 3 more nuisance calls each month.

Besides paying extra for an unlisted number, anyone here know how to stop the “Reverse Phone Book” calls?”

Personally I have Caller ID. When I know it's a Telemarketer and I'm in a hurray I go into my Mid East mode. I start talking gibberish real fast and excited within about 30 - 45 seconds my voice is high pitched & sounding angry and more and more excited. I've found that this gets me instantly removed from most call list LOL.

Then there's the Bubba mode. That's where I have time and decide to have me some fun. Anybody ever listen to Tom Mabe? It's basically waiting on a telemarketer to call and placing the person on the other end in a real awkward position by giving the impression things like a homicide investigation or a drug bust is in progress and start asking them questions. Bogus jealous spouse answering the phone is always loads of entertainmnet too. It's kinda like the Internet you can be anybody. LOL

The main thing by going this route is you tie up their operators :>} These are computer programed dialed numbers. Card Services calls me on my regular line that is unlisted then about 30 minutes later calls me on my Ringmaster number also unlisted.

In North Carolina a small claims (magistrate’s court) action has to be filed where the Defendant resides. Not sure it would work here. You could file in District Court, but that is a little more involved...
