Chris Wallace this morning pressed Virginia Senator Mark Warner, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, on whether the American drones monitoring the Benghazi attack were armed. Wallace challenged Warner’s assertion that disclosing this information would give up valuable intelligence:
I can understand how it would be politically embarrassing for the administration if it turns out those drones were armed and the weapons were not fired when those men, the Americans, were under attack for 7 hours. I can’t understand how it would give up valuable intelligence. Can you tell me directly, were the drones armed or not that were flying over Benghazi and were recording it in real time?

The more they try to put a lid on this, the greater the pressure gets. When it fully blows, it’s going to be ugly.
They’re going to try like hell to delay these answers until AFTER the election... but, these answers WILL come out.
And, if they’re not out BEFORE the election, Americans will rightfully assume the worst.
And the question is “why would a security officer be painting the mortar installation firing on him with a laser if he didn’t expect there was someone who could act on it.”
Ugly. I hope it drags all of the cool aid drinking Senators and Congressman who have been carrying Obama get sucked into the mire.

If there wasn’t something above that could hit a lasered ground target Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty would not have been putting the light on those targets.
This all makes me sick. There should be mass resignations from the president down going on right now.

I don’t know if the wagons are on fire, but some of the occupants are moving to put the wagons between themselves and the other wagons for fear of taking friendly fire.
Circling the wagons only worked because everyone on the wagon train was on the same side. Absent that, everyone’s back would have been mighty exposed, as is the case today at the CIA, the NSA, the military, and the the Obama administration.
OBAMA LIED AND PEOPLE DIED.
No mystery at all with that answer, the drones WERE armed.

I loved the video! Warner looks like he has the intellect of an amoeba! We should never use the word “intelligence” and the US Senate in the same sentence! And that goes for most of the Republicans there too!

I have trouble believing that they send up any drones that aren’t armed. All they would sacrifice by not doing so would be a little extra loiter time over the target area. Can you imagine catching sight of a high value target and not be in a position to do anything about it?
