GREENSBORO, N.C. The presidential election is just around the corner and voting issues have already become a problem in Guilford County.
On Monday, several voters complained that their electronic ballot machine cast the wrong vote. All the complaints were made by people who voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location.
One of the voters, Sher Coromalis, says she cast her ballot for Governor Mitt Romney, but every time she entered her vote the machine defaulted to President Obama.
I was so upset that this could happen, said Coromalis.
Guilford County Board of Elections Director George Gilbert says the problem arises every election. It can be resolved after the machine is re-calibrated by poll workers.
Its not a conspiracy its just a machine that needs to be corrected, Gilbert said.
After the third try, Coromalis says she was able to get her vote counted for Gov. Romney but was still annoyed.
I should have just mailed it in, Coromalis said.
Marie Haydock, who also voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location, had the same problem.
The frustration is every vote counts, said Haydock.
Elections officials say the machines have been fixed as of Tuesday, and no problems have been reported since.
Early voting ends November 3.
They are programming the screens to have the Obama hot zone overlap part of the Romney box. I have no doubt this is intentional to “catch” the unobservant.
And that’s how it’s going to happen. Dear Leader will receive 100% of the votes.
“Just a computer glitch.......” and “this sort of thing happens every election, the voting machine needs calibrating”.....
.... nothing to see here, move along...
Fair warning to all machine voters: Check the screen to see visual confirmation of what you did before you press the final “vote” button.
Clearly it’s W’s fault.
I do not like those machines. I’ve been voting since the early ‘80s and we’ve always had the punch card which is easy and the technology to read them is sound. Now, since 2000 and the inability of Floridians to vote correctly we’ve had machines in the voting place but they’re always unmanned and I haven’t seen anyone use them. We now have to fill in the bubble like a Scantron but why is that any easier than punching a card?
Here we go................
Nothing to see here,he got NC by fraud last time and they are trying again. I just voted Pender county all went well.
Seems to me the poll workers had already re-calibrated the machine. And what does re-calibrate mean? I suppose there is knob on the back that you turn from left to right that slants the results left or right.
They learned from Hugo Chavez
This was on fox this AM. It is a requirement for the left to lie cheat steal and murder to take power. Don’t think otherwise. They feel empowered to do this. This is hand in hand with Muslim scum who have the same carte Blanche.
Perhaps closer to the truth than you intended ... when the pubbies had complete control of the House, Senate, and White House, they did not try to clean up the voting process, to end many of the techniques democrats use to cheat the vote.
FUMR! If you vote 3rd party, an overlap of 0bama on Romney’s area wouldn’t matter!
(right?)
Make that 110% of the vote.
No Hanging Chads.
If any of you Right Wing Nuts got a problem with that, you should immediately contact Eric Holder
Assuming we can believe you, it's still unacceptable. You've had more than ample time to make sure it was right, you miserable failure.
Cardboard Paper ballots with a drop of blood area you put ont here for each person voted for, then DNA testing on each drop to verify....
But I am just that paranoid about voter fraud.
The dems are sending out action notices that some machines are owned by a Romney-connected firm.
