State Senator Neal Kedzie says his son was attacked while trying to stop someone from stealing his Romney/Ryan yard sign. Whitewater Police tell NBC15 News this is an active investigation.
Here is the statement released by Senator Neal Kedzie:
Early on Friday morning, October 19th, my son Sean was awakened by noises outside his residence in Whitewater. As he went to see what the commotion was about, he noticed an individual removing a Romney/Ryan yard sign from his property. He yelled to the person that they were taking something not theirs and to return it immediately.
The individual returned the sign, however, a second person confronted and attacked Sean without warning.
Sean was wrestled to the ground by both persons, held down by a constricting chokehold, and struck repeatedly about the face and head.
He nearly passed out from the chokehold and suffered contusions to his face and eyes. (graphic photo)

In 2008 we had maybe 4 yard signs - McCain/Palin and locals, which I came to putting on their sides on the porch every night. Couldn’t really see them.
About 2 weeks before the elections, around 2am, I heard the signs being SLOWly dragged off the porch! Heard it because I was on the internet - night owl here. . . dragging, metal sound.
Wanted to open the door, but thought I could be met with a paintball or something.
When I did go outside, I couldn’t believe ‘they’ got away that quick. I never heard a car . . . Of course I suspectd a neighbor - esp because of their Obama signs.
So even tho they were not visible at night someone marked our house and must have looked around. . .
Police came after calling - wanted neighbors to know I was aware - and that maybe I saw them. . . It is stealing, after all - - -
Sooooo - I got 12 signs and took them in every night - didn’t bother me! Sure sent a message to our neighborhood!
I took big poster paper and made a sign that said: ‘Smile - You’re On Candid Camera!’ and stapled it to an old lawn sign.
Dog walkers would pause and read the signs - LOL!
There are few Obumpo signs here in Ventura County, CA - - MANY Romney/Ryan signs.

If Wisconsin’s state motto is indeed “Forward,” we hope that the result on November 6th will be to move forward and well past one BO 0ccupant.
