I've thought this since early in the Republican primary. I've been convinced for two years now, that Obama is a one term president. The real race for president has already been won. We're just going through the motions now.
Obama is going to get crushed and frankly I think hes known this for months and planning for it... the entire election is just bread and circuses.

I agree with both of you about Obama knowing he was toast.
Which irritates me to no end about the way we had to settle for Romney. Any of the primary candidates would be cruising to a victory now, but sadly most Republican voters failed to understand that the 2010 off year election was just the beginning.Well, it is what it is, and now we are stuck with Romney.
I do however think that right after the 2010 election, Obama and his cohorts still believed they could still steal the election this year. It was when Obama was losing 15% to 20% of the primary votes that they realized how screwed he really was. Now they have to realize that he is going to get his ass handed to him in such a massive landslide defeat, that there is no way they can cheat their way to another four years.
I will add one thing we better be prepared for though. After Romney trumps Obama, in what I believe will be a historically huge win by the numbers, that the Republican establishment will be trying their damnedest to Lord it over us conservatives. They will claim that Romney's huge win proves that moderates can win big, while using Bush's close races with Gore and the guy who served in Vietnam as proof that conservatives cannot win big.
In the next four years we are going to see a huge in house fight between the moderate liberals of the party and the conservatives. Dare I say it will get ugly enough to possibly tarnish Romney's re-election chances. Re-election in the primary that is, not the presidency in 2016.
This is the way I have been reading the tea leaves as they have been settling for the last 8 Months. Mark my words down, because I promise you that our biggest enemies in the next few years, will be the Republican Establishment.
I guess that's better than fighting Obama and his commie buddies for another four years.
