The Obama Administration has been touting the supposed upturn in the economy by using the September national unemployment rate of 7.8%. Dont tell that to the blue-collar workers of Ohio. According to the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, the private sector of Ohio took a nosedive in September. Construction: -4,100 Manufacturing: -4,300 Transportation: -1,800 Hospitals: -4,600 Financial activities: -2,900 Automobile dealers: -300 The surest sign of a failing economy can be seen in the one business that is necessary for survival: grocery statistics. And the September statistics reflect how bad the economy was, and which direction it headed in September: Ohios grocery stores cut 1,600 jobs and Ohios restaurants lost 4,700 jobs. So why werent the states unemployment numbers worse? Because the two areas that gained significantly were government jobs and university jobs. But heres the dirty little secret the Obama Administration doesnt want you to know: of the 50,000 jobs that were added in those two sectors, (34,500 in government and 14,500 in universities) 44,000 were added by the state and local governments in education. Republican Governor John Kasich and local governments are taking what little money they have and spending it on education.

And even with this, unemployment would be 10.7% if workforce participation was what it was in 2009.
I heard too that the number of people receiving SS and Medicare is larger than the number of full time employees.
If that is true this is something MR needs to get out in front of and use in his stump speeches.
Consider this as well:
“he Obama Administration has been touting the supposed upturn in the economy by using the September national unemployment rate of 7.8%.”
LameBrain Romney was using that number too. During the last debate. I could not figure out why he would use a number that had already been proven a fraud. And there was even an admission that number was wrong. It Turns out that one of Obama’s own had left some numbers out in California.
Obama probably believes that if he tells those clucks in Ohio that “I’m creating jobs there” they’ll all just gobble up my phony lies about Job creation?
The California report was related to the weekly report of new unemployment applications, not the monthly unemployment rate. I don’t have the numbers handy, but the weekly report, which has floated between 350,000 and 400,000 for four years, suddenly dropped 2 weeks ago to the 325,000 range. It was widely celebrated by the media, but it was immediately announced that a ‘large state’ had not submitted their number by the deadline. That state later was named...California. Last week, the number was back up to 366,000.
You do know that the guy who did not submit those numbers was later found to be a major Obama supporter?
The news of the fraud was out before the debate. Romney used the fraudulent numbers anyways. Just as articles put out by the MSM even today are still using that fraudulent number.
Such as this one.

Nothing deserves and idiot award more than helping create credit for someone elses lies. Romney should be pointing out the fraud. Not enabling it.
