The assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi last month appears to have been an opportunistic attack rather than a long-planned operation, and intelligence agencies have found no evidence that it was ordered by Al Qaeda, according to U.S. officials and witnesses interviewed in Libya.
The attack was "carried out following a minimum amount of planning," said a U.S. intelligence official, who, like others, spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss a matter still under investigation. "The attackers exhibited a high degree of disorganization. Some joined the attack in progress, some did not have weapons and others just seemed interested in looting."

I will await my news from a professional.
The LAT is not.
Amazing. No Weapons of Mass Destruction Redux.
Yep, sounds as sophisticated and disciplined as any muslim attack. Could be anyone from Al Qaeda to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard from this description. Isn't looting what islam was based on?
Wasn’t it the Los Angeles Times that breathlessly reported, in an alleged scoop, that the DNA on Monica Lewinsky’s stained blue dress was NOT Bill Clinton’s?
Yeah, mortars, RPGs, AKs, jerry cans of diesel fuel, communication equipment, knowledge of consulate facility and guards, coordinated plan of attack...just the usual spontaneous mob stuff..../sheesh.

As if they were so kind as to advertise who they are and not lie about their motivations. For example, the leader of Ansar-al-Sharia in Benghazi was supposedly identified within 24 hours as one of the consulate assault leaders. He's denying it, saying he was there but the crowd was incensed by the video after all. He couldn't control his crazed followers. Riiiiiiiight.
Ok, I will put my head in the sand now, after all the LA Times is a trusted source of information. My they insult The Prophet and be burnt to the ground.
Looting our intelligence stashes, no doubt.
Little Bammy’s in trouble so what could be more natural than the MSM circling the wagons. Here they are repeating Obama Regime lies from weeks and weeks ago!! Maybe the Times will claim the movie started it all!!!
.... Evidently we are seeing the new talking points issued to counter any accusations up until the election to give the weakened Prez some breathing room on the subject. Of course , at which point, after the election they will just admit that the intel was wrong about it not being Al-Qaeda.
What else can I say. We had the guns. We had the RPG’s. We were in the area. What’s to plan? /s
Here is a pic of the Al Qaeda flag flying over the Benghazi courthouse back in November 2011. Benghazi 2011 Al Qaeda
The Ambassador is usually in the embassy. Stevens was in Benghazi, in the middle of Al Qaeda territory, with virtually zero protection. He begged for protection for weeks before 9/11. Obama refused him every time.
No evidence.
Of course not, instead of sending in the military immediately as is appropriate for an act of war, Obama sent in the FBI (treating it like a criminal investigation).
FBI couldn’t get there for several weeks. Out post was not secured, evidence would have disappeared or been compromised by the time they got there.
Any time you hear or read those weasel words, No Evidence, ignore what follows - it is probably a white wash.
Probably Dingy Harry - he's as good as they come when it deals with telling outrageous lies and acting like we should believe him.
