With eighteen days till Election Day, the momentum is firmly on the Republican side in Ohio. President Obama has offered no positive vision for the next four years, and after voters heard from the two candidates during the debates, the GOP has surged in Ohio. For weeks our unprecedented ground game has been setting records in voter contacts, and now it is paying off. The proof is in absentee ballot and early voting totals.

We should go to Romney’s site and volunteer to make calls to Ohio. Doesn’t cost us anything to save America
Early voting looks good.... there’s not much enthusiasm for The One.
Romney will carry OH and if he has a strong showing there, an upset in PA could well happen!
Speaking of volunteers for Romney where’s the username “
decinesis” (sp?) lately?
Have not seen him on lately. He’s my polling guage.
“Early voting looks good.... theres not much enthusiasm for The One.”
Unlike some people, I’m just not panicking about OH.
I don’t see Mitt winning the national popular vote by at least 52-48 (which I expect), yet somehow losing the Electoral vote. I just don’t see it.
Romney’s ground game is apparently excellent, ABO voters are very motivated, and I don’t see how any of that translates into Obama winning OH or the EV as a whole. When the final undecideds break in the final week, races which look super-close right now will have a little more breathing space for Mitt.
He’s making calls for the Obama campaign in OH.
If true, the FAT LADY had done sung and I'm going on a cruise.
How do you spell his username?
I admit the polls get me worried at times, but we have to realize that Romney has been highly successful at everything he’s done (Bain, Olympics, MA Gov). We have to assume he has the organization in place in OH and elsewhere to GOTV, and since he is a leader he is not likely to simply copy Dem GOTV efforts - he is more likely to improve upon it.
Yup.
Absolutely! We're getting a couple of calls a week at home from Romney volunteers, and the message is very effective.
I was only kidding.
I think his name was “diogenes”?
Diogenes has been out of circulation owing to illness and other misfortunes...
Yes, I saw that and sent him a message. I hope everything’s okay with him.
Hamilton Co. official (won’t say who) told me that three weeks ago walkers were finding “high” dissatisfaction with ZEro, but no clear commitment to Romney. Now, he said, reports are that the Is are shifting to Romney.

Momentum is on our side.
If we match the absentee ballots of the Democrats, we will win, since the GOP actually won on election day in 2008 but were overwhelmed in the absentee ballots.
That won't happen this time.
Can anyone explain why Ohio is so difficult this cycle? Did millions of non-whites move into the state over the last 4 years?
Same for Florida and Virginia. Romney can’t seem to break out in either state. Recent polls are still too close for comfort.
Public service unions for one thing. They were successful in overturning Governor Kasich’s collective bargaining law - the stupid voters in Ohio voted to do this. There are also many pockets of those on the government teat. Others are totally uniformed on the issues and hold to the stigma that Ds are for the poor and working class, while the Rs are only for the rich. You’d be surprised at the number of people I’ve heard repeat this lie.
I’m not giving up hope, but our governor has a low favorability rating - thanks to the unions. He only won the state by 2% and the left has howled ever since to make his life miserable.
Virginia has had a ton of Mexicans move in plus public sector workers from DC. That I understand.
