This video, on Mitt Romneys innumerable good deeds, should receive the widest possible attention. On CBS no less:

An interesting question for which I have only an imperfect answer at best: Why did the Obama campaign believe that their months of demonization would work when inevitably the real Romney would emerge at the debates or sooner? Especially because, unlike Senator McCain in 2008, Romney always was going to have the resources to run a formidable campaign. Anyone who watched the Republican primary debates could see that Romney above all is a man of supreme decency, integrity, and modesty.

I really don't give a damn whether Mitt Romney ever rescued a drowning puppy from a freezing river, or walked five miles to bring a can of gas to a stranded school bus, or bought out the table at a ladies' auxiliary bake sale.
I care a lot more about whether he has the toughness to cut spending and ignore the wails of millions about how cruel he is being.

This is not the same report, but it uses some of the same footage. I am providing the link because it’s a longer video and the quality is much better.
In the version you linked the Black woman was quite receptive to Romney’s good works.
I’ll admit to some misgivings going in with your video, Charlie Rose and all, but this was an excellent video clip.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Why did the Obama campaign believe that their months of demonization would work when inevitably the real Romney would emerge...They assumed he would roll over for a belly-rub like McCain.

Good luck with Obama reining in out of control spending in Washington.....

I agree with with Jeff Benedict in the video. (author of the book) It tells you a lot about a man when he does stuff that he doesn’t think will become public. In this instance so close to his election bid, he probably figured it might surface. Truth is, he’s been doing stuff like this his whole life. And yet, this is the first time we’re hearing of it.
I disagree with Romney on a number of things, but I do think he’s a stand-up guy. Very seldom do I hear anyone that knows him say he’s a bad guy. In fact, I can’t remember ever having seen some one who knows him say that.

Especially because, unlike Senator McCain in 2008, Romney always was going to have the resources to run a formidable campaign. McCain was a deeply flawed candidate. For one thing, he was too dang old.
Am I accusing people of being superficial? Yes they certainly are!

Surprised by the even-handedness of Gayle King in this discussion.

It’s a nice footage. Unfortunately, I realized it only later, this video was from April, not recent. If this were from say this week, that’d be doing a lot better.

Yep. NRO dug it up and reported it only today in hopes that it might get some play before the election.

The Romneys called the fellow Mormon and asked to come over and help him, when he said that he was already pretty much finished the Romneys kept pushing him to let them come over and do something, so he let them do the stump.
It was an all Mormon event, arranged by the Romneys, when they could have done something more useful at non-Mormon houses in the fire damaged neighborhood.
This neighborhood is part of my work area, rather than pressure this Mormon, the Romneys could have simply verified that someone else within sight of his home needed help and come and done it.
This was about Mormonism and a presidential campaign, not randomly helping a stranger.

Especially leftoid Democrats, who by and large, care much more about style and appearances, than they do about real substance. And Freepers are worried that they're going to nominate this woman in 2016.

I don't care if Romney is an alien-nephilim-kangaroo hybrid. Obama must be removed from office by whatever means possible.
I was anti-Romney for a long time...but I would rather deal with a pro-Israel Mormon than an American-Israel-hating muslim.

This is probably an attempt to now curry favor with a possible (dare I say "probable"?) President Romney after having carried Obama's water throughout the campaign to no positive effect.
If I were in management at any of the major MSM outlets (besides FOX), I'd be scared - really scared - of being functionally shut out of a Romney Administration's news dissemination process.
