COLLEGE STATION - A bomb threat has led to an evacuation at Texas A&M University in College Station.
The university asked students to evacuate "by foot immediately" at around 11:34 a.m. A witness at the scene said students were calmly and slowly evacuating the area.
The evacuation comes a day after Texas State University was evacuated after receiving a similar threat. Three buildings on the campus in San Marcos were evacuated around 9:40, but students were later around to return in the early afternoon.
More details to come.
I’m going with idiot copy cats making prank calls. However, you know terrorists are keeping any eye on these and maybe starting to make the calls themselves. Once the schools and students get tired of it and don’t evacuate, then it’ll be 9/11 all over again. A few weeks ago, when the University of Texas at Austin had to evacuate, the students were milling around campus all unconcerned. After officals said they were going to investigate every nook and cranny, they declared the campus open again within less than two hours. There’s no way they could have given the green light on one building in two hours much less a huge campus.
Just read Easterwood Airport is shut down.
My Human A&P class suffered through bomb threats for every test. The instructor stopped it by sitting us down outside and handing us our tests. Didn’t have another threat during her test time again.
I think you’re right, for now. Yet, I still believe there are thousands of sleeper terrorists, hiding in plain sight here (Dearborn etc), just waiting for SHTF in the ME with Israel vs Iran, and they’ll get their “go orders” for “soft targets” in the US, Canada, Europe etc.
That site was working yesterday; wonder what happened? It’s got some great articles/facts/documents on it.
Have you gotten anymore information? One of my friends that lives in College Station is picking up my son.
My Aggie Network is alive and working today!!
