Yes, this guy is a jerk and a loon, but doesn’t it make anyone else uncomfortable that none of Romney’s sons are in the military when Romney is so gung-ho for the wars in the Middle East?

And I am sick of the nonsense that one has to have some personal connection to the military in order to have a valid opinion about going to war.

Either we have civilian control of the military, or we don't. Either just being a citizen is enough, or we have a military junta.

If someone can't point out the real merits or drawbacks of someone's foreign policy ideas, specious crap like "you just want other people's children to die while yours go to college" just makes you sound like a Democrat.

No. I see his dons as individual adults not bound by their fathers political views. I think we here can all identify with a desire to dee Romney elected president even if we don’t agree with everything he wants to do. His dons are equally free.

BTW and FWIW, Mitt Romney’s draft lottery was 300. The fact that he didn’t volunteer to serve in what is possibly the worst bit of bipartisan foreign policy in the country’s history is not necessarily wrong.
