Iranian and U.S. negotiators have reached an agreement that calls for Iran to halt part of its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of many of the U.S. sanctions against the Islamic regime, according to a highly placed source.
Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, expects a letter from President Obama in a few days guaranteeing the details of the agreement, arrived at recently during secret negotiations in Doha, Qatar.
The source, who remains anonymous for security reasons and is highly placed in Iran’s regime, said that once Khamenei receives Obama’s guarantees, he will authorize an announcement by Iran on a solution to the nuclear crisis before the U.S. presidential elections.

The question that once again basically raises itself is what exactly is the American govt and military in a position to do on this ? At best, the targeted assassinations and isolated military strikes of nuke targets - which Israel had been doing and at one point, I believe, effectively made look like a nuke accident - seems to be the best any American military can do no matter how capable of a Commander in Chief we have. Not in any way saying I approve of how Obama is handling this, just saying our options are limited regardless of our military’s Commander in Chief. At the very least, a repeat of the 2003 Iraq war or the 2001 Afghanistan war is clearly not happening here regardless.

I have been reading this was coming for a couple weeks in the middle eastern press. All the articles stated it was pure politics to help Zero. Aster the election they will be restarting, if they actually stop in the first place. Iran did not agree to allow inspectors in to see if they do.
Won’t work for Obama. Romney can rightly ask how anyone could possibly trust the Iranians in any deal.

I just saw the movie Argo (very good, except for the PC bits in the intro and the afterword by the idiot Jimmuh Carter himself) and it reminded me of exactly how horrible the “Islamic Revolution” was and how crazy these people still are.
It also reminded me of how much I detest Jimmuh and how similar Obama is to him in his approach to Iran...and we can see what that got us last time.

When Romney refuses to honor these deals and Mock-Mood After-Dinner-Jihad squeals, Romney can honestly say, “The thing is, he’s a blithering idiot.” There’s no comeback from that.

What does THAT say about Iran's timetable if they are actually willing to even entertian this, still knowing they have to act before Romney takes over?
