Tonight was the annual Alfred E. Smith Dinner where the candidates take a humorous break from the campaign trail. But I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised at how funny Romney was as he delivered line after line, mostly about the president. In fact he landed some pretty hard blows on the president, namely one where in using the Sesame Street reference he said that President Obamas remarks are brought to you by the letter O and the number 16 Trillion. Ouch! And theres a lot more where that came from.
My bet is that even though it was all in good fun, the left is going to hate it and will try and make something out of it. Maybe theyll put all the jokes the didnt like in a binder or something.

I wonder what Chrissy thought of Obamas joke about him. Don't be silly...Pissy Chrissy doesn't think.

"I dont know who wrote this for Romney, but they are great."
I could envision Romney enlisting Dennis Miller, Mark Steyne, and Rob Long to write some killer political jokes for him.

" Agreed, to an extent. Major soft spot for Sarah...Ann, on the other hand, sister princess has lib baggage I cannot admire."
Agreed on all points.. but, after 4 years of this crap any port in the storm at this point.
Putting Paul Ryan on his ticket helped him and hopefully Ryan and a Republican congress will keep him on the straight and narrow path.
Remember Romney ? your promise of choosing " STRICT " constitutionalists judges for the Supreme Court.

And here’s the kind of people that are whining and complaining...
If you haven’t seen this clip...you’ll be stunned at the stupidity. Please note that this is a real radio call-in to a local radio station, and yes...she’s serious.

I agree with your statements. This is the Romney I have never seen before. Funny, brutally honest and lastly gracious as a gentleman should be. Definitely the adult in the room.

Thank you for the link...I was hoping to be able to view his speech. What can I say...not terribly funny...not the same biting humor as Romney. There were a few good lines worth a chuckle, but nothing memorable...such as brought to you by the letter O and the number 16 trillion. That is a line that is memorable. Romney very well helped in the writing, but this has the look/ sound of some help from Dennis Miller. But, the delivery was all Romney.

Proof is that they are whining about it over at the Dem channel: The Last Word with... had a great complaining session. I'm thinking of pulling a new tag from some of Romney's comments - thanks for the ping, sick.

You're right. The delivery was perfect. Self-deprecating and totally presidential. Class act. I was impressed.
