All submissions must be posted by midnight the night of the 3rd debate. (Oct 22)
For those not technically inclined -
- Go to RCP | Electoral Map | Interactive Map
- Create your map by clicking a state and assigning it to Romney/Obama (it's pre-filled with current likely outcomes, gray states are toss ups currently
- Take a screen shot (Mac - Command/Shift/4, select the region to copy, will save to desktop. PC - if I remember - make the window outline the image of your map, then ctrl/alt/printscreen, then copy to MS Paint and save as gif or png
- Go to an image hosting site since FR does not host images. Example - http://postimage.org/ ... there are many others - upload the pic, it will give you a list of different types of urls to suck the image into your post.
- Choose Hotlink for Website if you used postimage.org, basically - choose a url that is surrounded by an "img src=" tag. Make sure to preview your response to make sure your HTML is working
- Reply to this post ... copy in the URL you got from the image hosting site when you uploaded.
- Post will be timestamped, w/your user name, so unlike in the Obama administration, there will be a trail of truth
- The latest image uploaded prior to midnight of debate 3 is your final entry.
- make sure the image is around 200K or less, otherwise the thread will take forever to load
- If you want, after pasting in the image url, add a paragraph tag and defend your map
- Update as often as you want before midnight Oct 22 after the 3rd debate
Here's my first entry.
I believe that Obama followers are sheep-lemmings, of different levels of sheephood-lemminghood. As the numbers turn more and more to Romney, many sheep won't vote at all out of shame, others will secretly vote for Romney. However, in some states, Obama-hood is a large part of sheeps' identities, so they will go down with the ship out of pure ego. Plus ... the polls are skewed by about 1.8 points Dem vs. the reality on the ground.

I gave Obama 327 EV - counting PA. That’s in the ballpark.
He can lose there and lose NM and still be well over 300 EV.

To be honest - I think you might be right.

Sorry to burst your bubble - ain’t gonna happen.
Obama’s numbers would really have to tank for that to occur. He’ll win everything west of NV, MN, IL, MI and everything north and east of the Mason-Dixie line apart from NH.

That was the 1984 electoral map. It was a joke, son.

Here's my guess. Popular vote could be as high as 54-45 Romney (more likely 51-48, once the vote fraud mechanisms have done their work), but it's hard to see the Electoral count getting much higher than 295.

I have Romney with 275.
So I have Romney winning, but I expect a lot of dirty stuff to go down which will cut into his numbers.

Agreed on dirty stuff - I was joking with a friend earlier that the skew is perfectly balanced by the fraud.
PS - my new home state of Maine (formerly MA) ... since we split our votes ... we will probably give Romney 1 EV.
To: goldstategop
Thank goodness, you corrected that. It scared me at first.

My map is near identical to yours except I have IA in Romney’s column AND at least 1 of the ME delegates will go Romney, so my count would be 302 /236
