One of the many tense moments in the second presidential debate turned on a new topic in the race: President Barack Obamas pension account.
Heres how it came up: Early in the face-off, Obama scoffed at Mitt Romneys pledge to crack down on unfair trading practices by China, saying Romney is currently invested in companies "that are building surveillance equipment for China to spy on its own folks."
Romney later explained that, yes, he understands that his blind trust has invested in foreign firms, including companies in China. Then he confronted Obama.
Romney: "Mr. President, have you looked at your pension? Have you looked at your pension?"
Obama: "You know, I dont look at my pension. Its not as big as yours so it doesnt take as long. I dont check it that often."
Romney: "Let me give you some advice. Look at your pension. You also have investments in Chinese companies. You also have investments outside the United States. You also have investments through a Caymans trust."

I hope President Romney treats the US media the way they have treated him this whole campaign: ignore them. Use FOX News or go directly to the people when he wants to say something. Will Minitru bring back Sam Donaldson to shout at President Romney?
When Romney asked the pension question, I expected obama to ask “what’s a pension?”
And the rest of we mere minions are going to be paying for his cushy government retirement, security, insurance and who knows what all for the rest of his life. I, for one, would never want to be selected for the Obama’s private security detail after he leaves DC, I don’t care how much they pay.
A fun subject.....Mitt knows how to look up Obama’s “stuff”...but Obama knows cr** about business.
Actually the security detail is only for 6 years. It changed under Clinton, so he is the last to have lifetime security.
Lesson learned. I hope President Romney uses the same method of communicating directly to the American people as he sets to the difficult task of slashing our budget and redirecting federal government back to Constititional goals. He could have prime time discussions with America so we can hear him directly, without the flter of the media.
Thanks Beave Meister.

Thanks for the update. That’s really sad!
Obviously Carter’s security team isn’t doing a very good job. I hear he’s wandering off the reservation again.
Silly question, I know. The political parasites vote themselves vesting and pensions for any 'time served.' In Illinois, I would not be surprised for them to be giving themselves pensions for 'time served' in state prison for corruption. There are plenty of them in there and I'm sure more to follow.
