SALT LAKE CITY Capitalizing on her speech at the Republican National Convention and Utah campaign events featuring GOP stars, Mia Love raised more than twice as much money in the past quarter as Democratic Rep. Jim Matheson.

Two Democratic organizations House Majority PAC and Center Forward PAC released a poll Monday showing Matheson with a 48 percent to 41 percent lead among likely 4th District voters. Love's poll by Public Opinion Strategies early last month had her up 51-36. Both Matheson and Love have discounted each other's numbers.
A Deseret News/KSL survey in late September gave Love a 49-43 edge.
The Matheson-Love matchup is among the most closely watched in the country.

Hopefully Mia Love stomps that guy and I have a hunch she will.
If Matheson were truly a democrat, he would hand Mia Love the election as a form of political welfare, she being in two of the left’s favorite minority classes. But, when it comes down to it, democrat principles are just cosmetic.
voters are so stupid.....they get a chance to vote in a decent high achieving American with a great life story and a great vision and if they don’t vote her in, its just a pathetic symptom of our deranged society...
There is no sense in debating one minute with a liberal. Don’t waist your time but become proactive and (literally) wipe them off of this planet.
And RINO Jon Huntsman Sr. endorsed Matheson. The Huntsmans need to just go ahead and admit they are Democrats.
Um, I wonder if Mitt will have any coattails in Utah. Hmmmm.
I’m in the 4th district. She’s got my vote.
That news makes me want to get up and dance! You know the tune . . .

Mia wouldn’t want Matheson’s charity, anyways. She’ll beat him like a rented mule. Bye-bye, “Blue Dog.”
Glad to hear it. Reports and stories about her were circulating well before the convention, and it’s heartwarming to know Utah still embraces true merit.
As for Matheson and the democrat party at large, the irony and hypocrisy of their opposition to that which they supposedly support is forever lost on them. It’s yet one more reason they’re wrong for the contry.
I’ve had this pegged as a victory from the word go, I hope I’m right.
