I’m not privy to what those taxes would be, so that may be a good idea. If they’re significant enough to entice jobs back, I would approve.

If you lose business tax, you’ll pick up employment taxes.

Gotta figure. Ore is taxed when it comes out of the ground. Its taxed again when its refined into metal. Its taxed when its machined into a screw. Its taxed when it becomes part of an engine. Its taxed when the engine becomes part of a car.

Also the electricity used along the steps is taxed, the machines are taxed, the property is taxed...

One good thing that Rick Snyder did here in Michigan was eliminate the personal business property tax

RE :”There is our pitiful, unfortunate choice, but the choice is clear for me.”

‘I am hinging my decision on the last debate because those are great places to learn the issues and the candidates..’. HA-HA, I pity that fool,

On an even lighter and funnier note I was watching the first half hour of the Morning Joe and dumb Mika was in a tizzy about Romney gaining woman's support in polls, AND gaining women's support in a post-(2nd) debate MSNBC focus group. She was repeating some recent Obama attack (War on Women)acting all mad and flustered and the others were making fun of her make believe fit.

Dumb Mika was saying : "Romney is lying to women. I am outraged".
Joe was responding “That is completely ridiculous, That's the best Obama has? He is getting desperate” Then they read an email saying 'back off Mika guys' and Joe joked that it was from Michele Obama.

It was great entertainment.

I’m a firm believer that when your down it’s a lot easier to go up.

Even simple moves will make things marginally better. The cancellation of Obamacare alone would spur confidence by employers.

This president has done everything he can to destroy employers incentive to hire. Just stopping some of that would cause employers to hire. I’m not even saying he had to be doing it to kill jobs. That IS what the outcome was.

Stopping the onslaught against coal would cause hiring.

Implementing the energy policies that Romney plans to, will cause instant hiring. More permits translates into more crews.

Every place one job crops up, it causes there to be more of a demand on consumer goods.

This elemental stuff, Obama couldn’t grasp. I think it’s easy to get bogged down in the big picture, when the little picture expanded out millions of times, gives good cause for us to think a turn-around won’t take that long.

Getting 23 million people back to work, is going to make S.S. and Medicare much more healthy in short order. It will reduce welfare and other government outlays.

This will cut our deficit spending in short order.

I think we’ll be amazed at how resilient our system is, when unleashed.

The Kenyan could grasp any of this. He was an expert (he thought) on “Colonial America” not how to grow the economy.

I can’t even fathom how stupid a guy would have to be, to think that Canada selling it’s oil to China would be better than piping it to the United States for utilization here.

Without an administration like Bush’s, there is no Obama term in office. Bush is the perfect example of why you don’t vote in a luke warm moderate, and in some aspects a full blown Leftist as a Republican.

Look at what Bush handed off. Could there be a better way to destroy confidence in Conservatism? Right now the Obama team is empowered to say, “We tried their way and it didn’t work.” This in referencing Capitalism.

Thanks George. Thanks a hell of a lot! /s

Things are so low right now, that I have hopes that Romney will do things that will make the situation better. Whatever good he does, expect NOT to see the word Conservative mentioned in conjunction with it. Anything that goes wrong, the word Conservatism will be front and center.

If he installs Romneycare, Conservatism will once again be tarnished for something it’s not.

Brace yourselves. No matter what bad thing Romney does, it will be described as having be done by a Conservative man on ‘the right’.

Some of this is going to gag us to the max.

Bush did untold damage, especially to the conservative cause.

” Things are so low right now, that I have hopes that Romney will do things that will make the situation better.”

Like I have posted here many times. Romney will likely help the economy. Don’t expect anything conservative outside of economics.

You succinctly described yet another salient reason why voting solidly Conservative and upon Christian principle instead of expediency out of fear of the ‘other guy’ was so important.

Too bad we dropped the ball into the Left’s lap and let them run with it while deceiving ourselves that it was in the ‘best interest’ of the country to keep voting for liberal Democrats running in the GOP.

I’m voting principle and faith over expedience from now on. I’m done compromising my faith and principles for the supposed purpose of halting the Left when we have example after example of the GOP-e working hand in hand with them on nearly every issue. I’ve repented of that sin and will do it no more.

And that repentance was justified, especially when Romney and the GOP-e made it perfectly clear what they think of Conservatives Tuesday at the RNC.
That was unforgivable and renders grassroots Conservatism irrelevant in national politics in either party. I won’t forget that. I could write a book and call it ‘ A National Ideology No More’ given what was done by Romney and the Ruling Class that night.

The nation continues to slide off the cliff to the Left. That’s why the choice for voters in 3 weeks is between a Democrat Socialist and a anti-Colonial Marxist.

I’m thinking past November.

Keep your powder dry until after the Inauguration and after Mitt makes clear that his AG will actively be pursuing criminal prosecutions and that Mitt will be clearing out politicos from his administration.

There will be no end of damage Obama can do with EOs, and the Senate can screw us to the wall by passing treaties during the lame duck session. Lastly, failing to clear out the holdovers will leave them in place to cripple Mitt’s initiatives (this was one major failing of the Bush administration; Bush was blinded by his determination to promote bipartisanship despite the Dems vows to deny him the fruits of his 2000 victory)

I own a construction/remodeling/landscaping company in Northern Virginia. Twice in the past six years Bush and Obama almost put me out of business. However, they failed. We have diversified our service offering and gone after the high end customer. This has resulted in steadily rising sales to the point where we grew 44% in 2011. Now I and my family built this business inspite of our government and the president. With this said I/we gambled that Romney will be our next president and went out and signed a 15 year lease on a 7 acre piece of property, sunk $100k into it to make the property usable and have began the process of building a showroom and office. When done we will have spent over $1m fixing up the property. If done right this will more than triple my sales and result in hiring an 35 employees. If Romney does not win then I will have a tough time growing my business. I may have to lay off a few employees due to Obamacare and his tax the rich scheme, but we will stay in business. I, my family and everyone that currently works for me and those that I will be hiring have alot riding on this election. I just went through the worst July, Aug, Sept in our company’s history, because potential customers were worried about the election. However, we are now enjoying our best October as sales have gone through the roof. Optimism is returning as customers see Obama and his time in Washington coming to an end. As this optimism gathers strength then I must agree with Rush Limbaugh who says the minute that it is apparent Romney will be our next president that $2+ trillion in capital will flow into the economy in anticipation of the positive steps he will take to fix our economy. Good times are coming. Praise the Lord.

He may surprise us in a few areas, like the military, but I think you’re right on target in general. It’s going to be a tough four years. And if he does get the economy going, it’s going to be a tough eight years.

In October of 1999, I did my best to beat down the idea that George Bush would be a great Conservative president.

Oh the Howlin’ that went on. People hated me with a passion.

Here we are 12 years later, and we’ve shot ourselves in the foot again.

There’s always a group of know-it-all airheads here that are unwilling to learn from the past. So early this year, we picked ourselves someone even worse than Bush in some ways. He is better in others.

We’ve got groupies here that glom on to political figures, and once the connection is made, it’s like the sperm and the egg. Any new input is biologically impossible.

I understand exactly where you are coming from. It’s when you study how every administration since Reagan has moved us to the Left, that you understand it’s a defeatist policy to vote for Leftists in our ranks.

Saying that, Obama is so vile that he has to go. So I defend Romney on point, and simply refuse to vote for someone that vile.

Other than McCain, this is the most vile election I’ve been faced with. What choice did I have? I can’t back either of these men with a vote.

” You succinctly described yet another salient reason why voting solidly Conservative and upon Christian principle instead of expediency out of fear of the ‘other guy’ was so important.”

What is Christian about giving up?

What is Christian about allowing a homo-abortionist Marxist Muslim destroy what is arguably still a Christian nation?

” Too bad we dropped the ball into the Left’s lap and let them run with it while deceiving ourselves that it was in the ‘best interest’ of the country to keep voting for liberal Democrats running in the GOP.”

W E dropped the ball? Our party did. I didn’t. YOU didn’t.
We haven’t had a conservative in office, since Reagan.

” I’m voting principle and faith over expedience from now on. I’m done compromising my faith and principles for the supposed purpose of halting the Left when we have example after example of the GOP-e working hand in hand with them on nearly every issue”

Then drive to D.C., pick a GOPe politician out of the House & Senate, and punch them in the teeth, and tell them why you did it. Don’t promote economic agony, homosexuality, and abortions on your “principles & faith”

” hat was unforgivable and renders grassroots Conservatism irrelevant in national politics “

Grassroots conservatism dies when we give up, and hand the country over to a man I have already aptly described.

” The nation continues to slide off the cliff to the Left.”

And we help by allowing a Marxist monster to finish us off. Make no mistake about it, Obama intends to finish us off.
If you know a conservative financial expert, ask him or her how Obama will finish us off.

Oh yeah, economy aside, expect a second Obama term to

1) Huge increase in abortions & homosexual behavior.

2)Promotion of,importation of, and amnesty for, Muslims.

3) SCOTUS finished off

4) Violent crime double due to unemployment at 25%

5) Obama government thugs going after Christians.

I could go on and on.

Do you think the GOPe that we all despise will lift a finger to help us ? NO. They have disappeared since Jan. 2009.

” I’m thinking past November.”

You won’t have to think too long
