Gallup: The Unemployment Rate Is Collapsing

More evidence that the official 7.8% unemployment rate is not the wild outlier people initially thought.
This just in from Gallup:
--------
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- U.S. unemployment, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, is 7.3% in mid-October, down considerably from 7.9% at the end of September and at a new low since Gallup began collecting employment data in January 2010. Gallup's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is 7.7%, also down from September. October's adjusted mid-month measure is also more than a percentage point lower than October 2011.
These results are based on Gallup Daily tracking surveys conducted by landline and cell phone with more than 30,000 U.S. adults from Sept. 16-Oct. 15. Gallup's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate incorporates the .04 upward adjustment used by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in October of last year. The adjustment for September was an increase of .02, which explains the .04 drop in seasonally adjusted employment despite the .06 decline in the unadjusted number.

Yeah, we’ll take the word of EVERY economist who said this was an outlier using a weird sample, over the pollster being sued by the Axelrat.
People have given up looking until Obama is voted out.
Employers might be optimistic that Romney will win the election.
Anyone here know of anyonee that has gotten a job that is to the level of their pay before they lost their last one?
Right after the election the real numbers will magically appear
And what about people who are Discouraged Workers/ exit the workforce?
The economy is hardly improving.
No doubt it will be below 3% by Nov. 6th.
These coincidences are just amazinng aren’t they?
Isn’t it simply that lots of people are running out of months?
They’ve used up all the unemployment they can get?
Had this very conversation with my BOSS today...right on, for us anyway...other MMV
My thoughts exactly!!!!!
Romney rising in the polls; now above 51% in Gallup.Time to get a head start on hiring!
Small sample of 30,000 people. Give me a break.
Nice try but ain’t gonna work, Joe.
Something sobering to think about: a lot of money, in fact, probably trillions, is being sat upon by people afraid to invest it due to the policies of the present administration. If Romney wins, this money is going to go to work, producing high inflation, which Romney will be obliged to answer for, even though he’s had nothing to do with it. He’d best be prepared for it.
Please! My company just had another layoff. People are feeling the real unemployment rate. This will fool nobody.
