The mainstream media has speculated that the religious right may not be enthusiastic about Mitt Romney’s candidacy, but Evangelicals and Catholics in swing states like Colorado and Iowa are enthused because of social and -- more importantly in 2012 -- economic issues, and these voters may help tip these states toward Romney.

The legacy media just don’t understand Evangelicals. As soon as Romney picked Ryan his support went up big time. Ryan is solidly pro-life and pro-family. Romney made it pretty clear with this pick that he not only wants intelligent people around him who are willing to challenge his views, but that he does mean it when he says he’s pro-life.

I thought that we had to nominate a fiscal conservative like Romney because social conservatives couldn’t win? Only Romney was ‘electable’.

.... and something else... called... the SUPREME COURT!!!!....Which is probably the reason I AM VOTING for Romney - Not proud of it though - but O-Homo is just too much of an evil man... who could do tremendous damage to the social fabric of this country if he gets 4 more years. I have no option.

Oh yeah, what took them so long??????? ALL GROUPS, religious and non-religious, who care for a minimum of morality should band together against this moral-monster called Obama....

This must be working in Colorado because Obama has pulled out of Colorado - also NC FLA and VA. as per National Journal.

There are more fiscal conservatives than social conservatives. I only decided I would support Romney after he picked Ryan. I think of Romney as more of a "moderate" than anything, but facing a socialist (obama) and having a VP (Ryan) on the ticket who is conservative my decision became easier.

FWIW, I'm convinced that conservatives over estimate our strength and numbers. If we are the clear majority why do moderates run the Pub party and why do we get moderates as Presidential candidates? Look at the list; McCain, Bush 43, Dole, Bush 41 and Reagan. The only conservative I see in the group is Reagan and the next closest is Bush 43, who is best thought of as a throw back "blue dog democrat".

Ryan as VP of a successful President will be the hands on favorite to be the nominee and then we will get a real conservative. Romney will be successful. He will get the fiscal house in order and will repeal obamacare. Ryan will follow up and finalize it.
