A Mississippi man flying to visit his wife in Japan on Monday was detained during a stop in Hawaii and has been barred from reboarding his flight - or any other flight - because his name came up on the U.S. No-Fly List, leaving him stranded on the island. Gulfport resident Wade Hicks, Jr., boarded a military jet at Travis Air Force Base in San Francisco so he could spend time with his newlywed wife, a U.S. Navy lieutenant stationed in Okinawa, Japan, the Canada Free Press reports.

Because it casts the god that is the State into a bad light; no one can be allowed to even question the rightness of the Actions of the State.
(This is why Fast & Furious has resulted only in kabuki theater.)
Welcome to the USSA, comrades.

And if you read the rest of the article:
Hicks was puzzled as well, as he has no criminal record or outstanding warrants. He explained that he is a former Department of Defense (DoD) contractor who has also passed extensive background checks to receive an enhanced concealed carry license. In addition, he holds a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC), a security card issued by the TSA for transportation personnel. However, none of these factors allowed him to get back on his flight, or take another flight home.
You'll also find that his wife is a US Navy lieutenant, stationed in Japan. He was enroute to visit her when he was escorted off the plane in Hawaii.
I may not agree with his politics, but this is ridiculous. The TSA won't tell him why he is on the no-fly list. If it is indeed because he has simply expressed opposition to government actions or government legislation, then almost everyone here on Free Republic had better hope JimRob doesn't get served with a National Security Letter demanding any information he has about the identity of posters.
You shouldn’t believe something just because it’s in prinit or on a fancy Internet site. This whole story simply doesn’t make sense. I smell a hoax.
(Maybe it’s a publicity stunt by a truther who wants to drive traffic to his website and/or to his radio talk show.)
I think Wade Hicks’s name got him caught up in Homeland Security’s Gun And Bible Clinging Rednecks, Hicks and Crackers dragnet.
Don't see vidence of that here but it's possible he has been doing a little more than he says.
If he has the cred he says he has I'm more concerned a truther could get a clearance, because they are kooks.
There was a case of a jihad sympathizer marrying an Australian Navy female some years ago; he was using her to get info and such to hit a military base down under; I wonder how long he's been married to this LT.
Of course, it's possible that the Feds have been looking for a suspected or known terrorist who has in the past used the name "Wade Hicks" as an alias. The guy's identity could have been stolen; if I recall correctly that is a cause of other false alarms with the TSA.
My mistake- it wasn’t Australian Navy it was the army. The terrorist was Willie Brigitte and he married the Australian army gal who also happened to be a Jewish lesbian who after serving in East Timor converted to Islam and changed her name. Weird story but it ties into a lot of other people who were arrested in the US in terror charity cases and VA jihad.
The aussie woman, before she joined the Army and went to East Timor as a peacekeeper, was involved with the Australian Air training Corps as a corporal. One of the targets Willie Brigitte took a deep interest in was a US low frequency antennae installed at a place called Pine Gap, and some of the investigators thought his intention was to get hi hands on her savings and use her as a suicide bomber against the target- she was emotionally unstable and he was manipulative.
That was part of the Sydney cell which was into this :

Wasn’t there an Aussie terrorist with the last name of Hicks in Gitmo? I remember Byron being upset that Hicks was “suffering” in the tropical weather during our winter.
Back in the day...not long after the original 9/11.
David Hicks.
Indeed. There is that. It is sad, how far we've fallen.
A blatant violation of the 6th amendment.
Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.
Unless you want to claim it's not a criminal prosecution... in which case the 5th is still being violated:
Amendment V
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
