The Long Island college student who asked President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney the first question in Tuesday night's debate says he is no longer an undecided voter.
Jeremy Epstein, a 20-year-old student at Adelphi University, told NBC 4 New York Wednesday that he felt both Obama and Romney were sincere and gave good answers when he asked about concerns that he would not be able to get a job when he finishes school.
"I thought they both spoke very eloquently," he said. "They both did a great job answering the question."
His interaction with the candidates quickly sparked a wave of discussion about him on social media, with the hashtag #jeremy trending before the debate was over. The student, from North Woodmere, had not been active on Twitter but reactivated his account Tuesday night after he became a sensation.
Epstein told MSNBC's "The Daily Rundown" that he also spoke to both candidates after the debate. He said Romney thanked him for the question.

Link bait. I want my 30 seconds back.
I didn’t like Obama’s answer (no surprise there!)
I hope I don’t sound snobbish, but if a college students says, “I’ll be graduating soon and I’m worried about getting good job and paying off my student loans”, then an answer about how factory jobs are going to come back real soon because Obama is focused on manufacturing — well, I’m guessing that Jeremy had something else in mind.
Don’t get me wrong: I want manufacturing to come back and I think on-the-job training to help people enter the workforce and get good jobs in heavy industry would be a very good thing. But I don’t think many kids go to college hoping that this sort of opportunity may come their way.
So the Grand Poobah of the Dumbass Society, Jeremy Epstein was still on the fence huh? Bless his kool aid filled heart.
an exercise science major who will get a manufacturing job obama promised...probably somewhere in vietnam assembling IPhones...
Let's see. A Jewish New York 20 year-old college student. Yeah, I have no idea which candidate he's going to vote for.
/sarc
But I bet it will be the one who didn't promise him a factory job.
“Then I was speaking with President Obama asking how his Chicago Bulls are gonna do, because they lost their MVP Derek Rose, and he said that I could not beat him in one-on-one, but I disagree with that.”
“But I bet it will be the one who didn’t promise him a factory job.”
Don’t be to sure of that 20 years old are used to be dependant on parents/government
Exactly! And Jeremy is a liar to say that he was even uncommitted. Lying seems to run rampant in the party of rats.
The best part is where Epstein asked Romney for a job, but he asked Obama about basketball. Figures.
” - - - “I asked him if he’s gonna give me that job in two years - - - “
Gimme a job, gimme a job, Massah, Massah, please gimme a job!

And so it goes here on Welfare Entitlement Plantation, and so it goes - - - .
“Welcome Back” Juan- up your nose with a rubber hose...(some will get that)
Jeremy Epstein is an attenion whore
If Epstein votes for Obama he deserves every miserable thing coming his way.
Is there a lot of work in the country for an excercise scientist?
If kids want a job when they graduate they need to study something that is beneficial to an employer.
Is his kid in to Physical Therapy, ? Just what is an excercise Scientist?
How independent can they really be when they have lived surrounded by Democrats all their lives. New York is a very liberal state, people are steeped in liberal thinking from their early years. When all of your relatives are Democrats and all of your politicians are liberals how can someone have a blanced and unbiased point of view? Conservatism seems as strange to them as Marxism does do us. Some of the ads here in Massachusetts are using the Tea Party and Republicans as the Halloween boogie-men to scare voters. This is what we have been subjected to all of our lives, the Democrats have big mouths and they know the benefit of demonizing your opponents loudly and often.
Something that my fourth grade granddaughter told us yesterday, Obama supporter kids in her class are picking on kids who are Romney supporters. No doubt they hear it from their parents. The rudeness is communicated to their kids in the way they talk to their kids about politics. These kids are getting the message that you are supposed to destroy your opponent. Sickening.
“President Obama asking how his Chicago Bulls are gonna do, because they lost their MVP Derek Rose”
Its been a bad week for guys named Derek.
