When the evening began, one observation dominated the conversation: If President Barack Obama has another debate like the last one, the elections over.
When the evening ended, I was struck by a different thought: If Obama had performed this way at the first debate, the election would have been over.
In every debate, whatever the format, whatever the questions, there is one and only one way to identify the winner: Who commands the room? Who drives the narrative? Who is in charge? More often than not on Tuesday night, I think, Obama had the better of it.

He is so full of it.
It wasn’t a draw..obama got his brains beaten out, again...
Same idiot who was praising Biden last week. How’d that turn out for them.
Hahahaa... The Won is winning a permanent trip out of the White House on January 20th.
Too bad we can’t impeach the media. I must have watched a different debate. I heard Obama’s lips flapping with canned responses but his body language looked rehearsed and insincere as though he didn’t really believe what he was saying. Romney looked and acted more presidential to me and made some very good points. I sincerely hopes he has some surprises in store for the upcoming debate and comes out guns blazing but in a respectful way unlike his opponent who seems to sneer and look down on the American people.
Tweeted your post to Mr. Greenfield. Thanks for it.
No question about it. Obama lost - again.
Ha, ha what revealing quotes. “On many questions I think Obama had the better of it” says the thoroughly unbiased Greenfield. I guess he means if you’re allowed to get away with lying your way through the entire debate. I see it as Romney on points even if he did blow the Benghazi segment. Romney simply gave a more specific, energetic vision of the economy under his admin and a better American future. The lib pundits (and a few conservatives) gave it to Obama, but in MY!!! thoroughly unbiased review, I’m giving it to Romney for at least not lying.
My personal theory is that many ‘08 BO voters, unable to admit they had been wrong, were looking for a excuse to not vote for him last debate and got it. Obama got his share of zingers in, but I wonder if undecideds are impressed by snarkiness at this point. We’ll see with this one. Whoever wrote that Crowley may have inadvertently helped Mitt on the Benghazi snafu may be right. I doubt noone came away from that moment thinking what great leader BO is, and more importantly the focus is now on her weird fact-check moment that was wrong.
self correction:
...got his zingers in TONIGHT
I’m not impressed with either of them....but will hold my nose ONCE again to be rid of the marxist.
Romney won. On the issues that mattered (economy, taxes, deficits) it wasn’t close. Most people certainly perceived that through the Crowley and MSM spin haze.
How many times did Obama say the words “education, college and schools?”
What the heck? Are we going to have the best educated idiots in the world, a world where everyone starts in the middle and none on the bottom?
I went crazy watching his only answer to any question was “EDUCATION.”
We need to go back to my time in life (50’s & 60’s) where children worked after school and learned the work ethic and self-discipline required to become anything they wanted to...without government help.
Now, we just churn out college graduates with many degrees that mean nothing and are in fields that produce no tangible product or needed service for the American consumers. It’s that piece of paper that counts so that they can join the “college club” and have their entry into the workforce “greased” for them while many, many hard working, more reliable and skilled workers are turned away simply because they didn’t join the club.
The best University is “the school of hard knocks” and from it, some of the most successful people in the world have graduated.
If Obama had his way it would take a PHD to be able to even apply for a job flipping patties at Burger King.
obama lost... no spin can change that and when the facts are checked today... he will have lost the election. **** the presss... liars from hell all.

Anybody who is undecided at this point is too stupid to be allowed to vote. Come to think of it, anybody who has decided that they are going to vote for Obama at this point is also too stupid to be allowed to vote.
I don’t think he won. He is one nasty piece of work and that came through to the point where he will probably take hits on his so-called likeability. Those evil eyes and dirty looks were a real turn off. Romney showed no fear and bloodied him up with his Vegas comments. Obama’s inner street thug was on full display. He looked totally unpresidential..
Romney won last night. He was presidential even when he was confronting Obama. He won on the economy and on Benghazi.
I think the debate had an ebb and flow to it. It was even in the beginning, His Excellency, with help from the moderator who would not let Romney counter his rebuttal lies, got a leg up in the middle and Romney won the end, especially his point by point indictment of His Excellency’s performance. Little Barry looked depressed listening to Romney school him on promises not kept, failure upon failure government. So, on balance it was a draw on TV.
So, His Excellency did not do what he had to do to turn the Romney tide. His performance may slow it, but unless Romney shows up naked on monday, he cannot lose.
