Carter was also an Annapolis grad. I don't know the numbers off hand, so I could very well be wrong, but it seems to me that the Navy produces a higher proportion of those libs who have served:

Carter
John Kerry (who served in Viet Nam)
Eric Massa (career Navy)
Joe Sestak (retired Admiral)

...and going back in time, JFK and LBJ were both Navy men.

My dad's navy, two brothers and an uncle were army. No accounting for taste dad says. Interesting on those navy people. I knew Johnson, JFK and Kerry were navy, didn't know the other two.
