(UPI/C-Voter)
WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has a 3 percentage point lead over President Obama, the latest United Press International poll indicated Monday.
Forty-nine percent of likely voters said they would vote for Romney and 46 percent said they favored Obama, results of the UPI-CVoter poll indicated.
For the first time since UPI/C-Voter began polling for the 2012 election cycle, Obama's approval and disapproval rating were the same: 48 percent. Until this latest poll, approval ratings by registered voters were higher than his disapproval ratings for Obama's performance as president.

ABC7 in Los Angeles had an interesting tid-bit to tell it’s viewers a few minutes ago.
This year Obama has been involved in one audience question and answer session that was similar to what will take place tomorrow evening.
Romney has been in involved in 23.
I’m nervous about the town hall setting. Who knows how many lesbian transgender commies on disability for webbed toes will be in the audience? Then again, I was worried about the first debate, and Romney kicked Oblammo’s butt.
My hope is that Obama goes all in with wall-to-wall attacks on Romney, who should conduct himself with empathy and maturity. Make Obama look like Biden did and he’s toast. All he has is his likeability. Also, Romney should pivot everything back to his ability to fix the economy and Obama’s failure there when necessary.
Example: on national security, end a talking point with the fact that the greatest national security threat is the Obamaconomy which weakens America. Inserting Obama’s name into every failure is bound to get under his skin.
Obamacare, Obamaconomy, Obamaphones, Obamacovery, Obamaleaks, Obamadebt. It’ll drive him nuts.
Nice.
There is nothing left. What, one more moderator who is a dem plant...what will she do ask a horrible slanted question, cut in 112 times to the middle of Romney's every answer, some stunt from the "undecided" audience??? How about some protesters slipping in past security, a planted racist t-shirt, or some reporter called a racist slur not recorded? Obama come out strong slapping Romney around with comebacks that at this point will likely be seen as mean and desperate, while Romney calmly with a smile answers?
At this point the stunts have gotten so lame that even the media is seen as a joke and not trusted by Americans. They have willingly made themselves into Pravada without a gun held to their heads.
The only way Obama wins is if it is a fair forum and he looks stately, good natured and gives good answers....somehow I do not think that is what is being planned, not to mention there are too many hot buttons to be pushed that can make mister arrogant mad. Seriously, how dare some low life question the dictator or tell him where he went wrong.
Does this one have a +7 Democrat sample?
Zero still struck at 46-47.
“The Kenyan’s number will spin and fall faster than Felix Baumgartner in the first four and a half minutes of his jump.”
Or as Andrea Mitchell would say, “Faster than the speed of light”.
The campaign was NEVER built on hero worship or personality like Obama or Palin in 08---that's not bad if you have it. But rather for a year I've been harping on the fundamentals of ORGANIZATION and fundraising, and so far Mitt's organization buries McCain's 2008 effort and is outdoing Obama's.
I could give you specifics of how the process works but suffice it to say almost NO voter goes untouched, and usually with MULTIPLE "touches".
So, to your comment, this has never been about feelings or euphoria, hence there is really no place for overconfidence to sink in. PS, I have posted here for months that R/R would win by about 4% with about 320 EVs. I think I have to scale back to 310 because of NM and maybe NV. Just don't think there is time to get them in.
I think ALL the "new" race toes have been guided to th proper outlets by Mitt and I even think he had a role in th Telemundo interview.
Therefore, if anyone has a nasty surprise tonight, my money is on Romney.

I agree. Romney was not my first choice in the primaries, but, on reflection, he IS the best person to go up against such an "empty chair" as Obama. Obama's past is full of corruption (even though the MSM won't report it) while Romney'a past is just the opposite. Romney earned his position in life by hard work and intelligent ideas, while Obama has been given everything he has achieved on the basis of his race, and, by his own admission, is lazy. He will not do much better in this debate because he will not have prepared any better for it than he did the first one. I love Clint Eastwood and would've liked anything he said at the convention, but his analysis and illustration of the "real" Obama through the use of an empty chair was brilliant!

Was that the Univision one where the Hispanic questioners took O to the woodshed?
LOL
In before the regime threatens UPI!
Romney just needs to keep his cool and be as natural as possible. This type of setting is not a combative one and even if the people are asking “What have you done for me lately” kind of lib questions, Romney needs to stick to the smaller government principles. It’s easy to try and play get along to get along when you’re surrounded by libs like he will be tonight but, he has to remember many people are watching. MOST of whom are not looking for more government and higher taxes.
Hah, good one. Could be, but they weren’t tag-teaming with a Leftist moderator. Here’s what I expect...
Audience member:
How could you allow our staff in Libya to be undefended?
Moderator:
What the audience member wants to know is, how brave of you was it for you to appoint an open homosexual to be ambassador to Libya?
Point of clarification:
It’s my take that Ambassador Stevens was doing good work in Libya. I’m not trying to tarnish his record after his death.
The above is the way Leftists think though, and that’s why I included that in my response.

Ok, I can't help it....driving me crazy.
For the life of me, I can't figure out what the first part of that sentence means. "New race toes?".

Dang. My typing on an iPad is terrible, my proof reading, worse.
