During the Democrat convention, it was noted that the various speakers touted the slogan "Osama's Dead, GM is Alive" more than TWENTY TIMES.
It is my opinion that this slogan was going to be their rallying cry for Obama;s reelection.
The events in Libya have thrown a monkey wrench into this GRAND PLAN. I'll bet there is a Printing Company somewhere in the United States {or China} that is sitting with Millions of "Osama's Dead, GM is Alive" bumper stickers in their warehouse.
Wow.....I’m stunned.....No Obama bumperstickers in NYC? Truly shocking.
Same thing here in the Knoxville, TN area. I have a bumper sticker and a yard sign.
I usually see Zero stickers on beat up cars, obviously someone wanting money from someone else, a thief.
Interesting. Romney has a home in San Diego. I wonder if that makes a difference. BTW I was at the San Diego Zoo a few weeks ago, saw more Romney bumperstickers than Obama bumperstickers on the freeway and in the zoo paking lot.
Same here in Southwest Florida. I was just discussing this with my wife yesterday. Romney/Ryan yard signs everywhere while there are none for Obama.
I think the enthusiasm gap is huge. Certainly bigger than the MSM media will allude.
[no/sarc] unfortunately
There are plenty of signs around here. In fact in one town that is usually plastered in dem signs - RR signs are running about 10 to 1 .
As to your comment about people being afraid - unfortunately you’re right, and I am one of them. My daughter is the only white kid on her school bus and she had problems on the bus back in ‘08 - I’m not putting out any signs for the first time in about 20 years. I fear for her safety and sanity. and I will be driving her to school the day after the election - and the rest of the week if necessary.
I hate it, I truly do.
I have an “Impeach Obama” sticker on my vehicle that’s been there since early 2010. Since then I’ve driven to the east and west coasts from Knovxille, TN. In all of those nearly 50,000 miles I’ve received several compliments and no vandalism, even though two of my destinations were Davis, CA and Boston, MA.
I typically travel Monday through Friday and I commented about the absence of Pro-Obama signs around the U.S.
In the past month, I’ve been to New Hampshire, Connecticut, Georgia, Wisconsin and Ohio. I live in Western PA. Very few bumbler stickers or yards touting the Messiah. I hope this is a sign of good things to come.
I saw my first ever Obama Biden 2012 bumper sticker on the back of a educator’s car on the way to dropping off my kids to school this morning. This is in South Forsyth County north of Atlanta. Otherwise it is deathly quiet for the Obots on the north side of the metro area.
At that minimal Omaba frequency, looks like RR are going to win in WI.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I always thought SouthWEST Florida was one of the more conservative and GOP regions of the state. More midwestern retirees than East Coast retirees who tend to settle on the Southeastern part of the state in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.
A few here and there in Northern Virginia =about 50/50 between 2012 and 2008 ones, however. Very few Romney ones, but it seems most cars don’t want to advertise their political leanings, including me.....
It’ll be interesting to see how Virginia falls out. No. Virginia will be the tipping point for the whole state. And...I’m sure getting tired of folks calling and trying to poll me —get 3-4 of these calls a night. This election can’t happen soon enough.....
I hate that we’ve gotten this far in this country. It’s frightening.
However, looking at the crowd sizes at the RR rallies and the ones on Chick Fil A Day......I have HOPE for November. I truly think there is a ‘silent majority’......and they’re pi$$ed!
Y’all stay safe!
That said, I took a road trip to NE Pennsylvania last week and counted the lawn signs starting in Sparta, NJ, through that rural part of the state, up across the Delaware Water Gap, and through Pike and Wayne Counties in PA. We also went to Scranton, and through Lackawanna County. Here's what I saw:
Romney/Ryan signs: 47
Obama signs: 10
Plus, one very large, hand painted wooden sign reading, "FOR GOD'S SAKE, WAKE UP AMERICA! HE'S RUINING OUR COUNTRY!"
Quite a difference from last time, where you couldn't swing a dead cat here in NY without hitting an Obamalamadingdong sign.
Regards,
Central Illinois has mostly local election signs and R&R signs run 10 to 1 over Obama. Could he lose Illinois. Quinn barely was elected over the Republican challenger.
Here in northern California Saturday, we were driving to the San Fran east bay area. Saw three obama bumper stickers on cars all driven by 60 old hags.
My daughter and I always stare and laugh when we pass their car because we always like to see what “Stuck on Stupid” looks like.
There’s a guy in the little town east of me that has a truck with an ever-expanding collection of anti-0 stickers.
Every time I drive by, I slow down to read his latest acquisition.
That’s very good news. I’ve also seen polls showing Romney gaining on Obama in ME,CT, NH, and PA. We need to stop writing off the ENTIRE northeast corridor!
“... I always try to get a look at the driver...”
YOU do that, too! I thought I was the only one.
