As Twitchy documented here and here, numerous Twitter users have threatened to assassinate GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney if he prevails on Election Day next month. With Election Day now just 23 days away, the Twitter Lynch Mob is publishing more death threats than ever. Here’s the latest batch, all published this weekend:

The Romney Death Threat Tweet Rate is probably more accurate than Rasmussen in measuring who’s winning over the electorate.
Twitterers are pussies. If they meant it, they certainly wouldn’t be posting it on twitter.
You won’t see this on the MSM. Let one person tweet something similar about hussein though, and I’d bet the MSM would be all over it and he/she would be in custody within a few hrs.

labor unions
for a while in my industrial career I administered the labor contract for the plant and received death threats during times negotiations got sticky or they went out on strike. It is in their play book.
There was a day in this country when threats against elected officials or candidates for President was not tolerated at all, verbal or what have you.
Such toleration now pushes the envelope. True the actual posters may be bluffing but to ignore those statements brigs us closer to the 1960s in American politics and it's not pretty.
These people must be made examples of immediately. No excuses, no “I was only kidding”, they need to be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law right away. It doesn’t seem at all like that is being done, which is a shame. This is completely unacceptable. These are very scary times to say the least.
These people really are violent. We have a discreet bumper sticker that merely reads ‘We need a different president’ and have been physically intimidated while driving through different areas of our city.
Get the SS out of the bars, sober them up, and make them go investigate 0bama’s front organizations!

Where the H is Diane Sawher on this. She was so worried her Bamster was going to get shot when he was elected. No worries when books and movies (during GWB’s time) or now twitter and Romney.
My first wife was the team leader for hiring replacement workers (aka “scabs”) at a Firestone Plant during a Rubber Workers strike. 4 or 5 union thugs showed up on my back deck one night. Once they saw that I wasn’t exactly Wally Cox and was holding my Winchester Model 50, they mumbled about looking for “Dennis” or some such. There was no one named Dennis anywhere near my house. After that, we had 24/7 armed guards from the company contracted to protect the plant during the strike.
This sounds like a crock to me. Anyone stooopid enough to tweet that kind of stuff would have the Secret Service on them before you could say quick!
Just remember how that story ended ;)
