After David Axelrod’s repeated assurances this morning on Fox News Sunday that “there isn’t anybody on this planet” who feels a greater sense of responsibility for our diplomats than this President, Chris Wallace asked how soon after the Benghazi attacks the President actually met with his national security team.
Wallace followed up on Axelrod’s non-answer by asking whether the President managed to squeeze in a meeting with the National Security Council before jetting off to Las Vegas for a campaign rally. Given Axelrod’s inability to produce a straightforward answer to the questions, it’s pretty clear the answer is “no.”

I propose that for the next Presidential debates, we have rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Mark Levin as moderators.

I watched in real time and when Wallace asked him that question, you can see Alexrod had a touch of fear in his eyes...
He knew it was a 50 megaton loaded question...that had no good answer ....
Chris should have nailed him to the wall.....

Those intelligence briefers are such pests! No wonder he went to Williamsburg to prepare for the debate- something important- where they won’t be interrupting him with their unimportant trivialities, bumps in the road...
That would be a no - he did not.
The reason Axlegrease was soooooooooo blue is that all he was doing was blowing smoke.
What was very clear to me is he wanted to get the heck out of town and on to more campaigning. He certainly did not show “cares so much” but “I don’t care”. If he were an R...but he’s not so he gets away with way too much as in everything. You just know that the LSM will get back to reporting as soon as we have a Pres. Romney. I am so sick and tired of them!!
I heard the radio replay of the interview and what really got me was when Axelrod said TWICE “No one in the world is more concerned for the safety of our diplomatic personnel than this president...” Yes, and that’s why he went to Vegas after hearing that they were brutally murdered, hung out with Letterman and the girls on the View, whooped it up with Jay Z and Beyonce and skipped intelligence briefings. NO ONE is more concerned! What an azzho.

And like Cutter said, none of these problems would even have happened if Romney and Ryan hadn't shot first and aimed later! They recklessly put Benghazi into the news cycle when we were proceeding with quiet, cautious diplomacy, about which Romney and Ryan know nothing!
Our protest story was... was... was working until Romney and Ryan screwed it up!
