WILLIAMSBURG, Va. President Obama is making no more jokes about how much he dislikes debate prep.
Asked by a reporter during a pop-in at a Williamsburg campaign office how his studying is going, the president responded with a quick: It is going great!
The difference is palpable compared to what he told supporters outside Las Vegas while studying for his calamitous Denver debate.
Basically they're keeping me indoors all the time," Obama said then. "It's a drag. They're making me do my homework."
If Obama is interested in playing hooky from his debate practice -- where aide Anita Dunn is playing the role of Candy Crowley and Sen. John Kerry is reprising his role as Mitt Romney -- he doesnt have to go far. The presidents hotel here, the posh Kingsmill Resort, is also hosting a Ferrari car show Sunday.
The days message from Team Obama continues the campaigns vow of contrition from the first debate and vows to do better Tuesday night at Hofstra University on Long Island.
The president is his own harshest critic and he knows Mitt Romney had a better night at the first debate, campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki said. The American people should expect to see a much more energized President Obama making a passionate case for why he is a better choice for the middle class.
“It’s a drag. They’re making me do my homework.”
Is he a 14-year old or what?!?
I always practiced harder the week after an ass-whooping. It did not always result in a better performance. One year we were just bad.
Concur... for Obama a draw, even a slight win ( and that, of course, is highly subjective) is a loss.
Nice job - I was thinking the same thing when I saw the headline.
You have to ask why wasn’t the White House good enough for him to do debate prep? Well we know why, don’t we?
exactly......!
I'm going to get that white boy this time like Joe took Ryan.. and this time I'm going to make it clear that I won!
“Now Barack, if you want to connect with the regular folks, you got to learn how to speak their lingo. You could say something like: ‘where do I get me a huntin license?’ These hicks loved me when I did that!”
I think the right needs to brace itself. There is going to be a full court press to sell Obama as “the come back kid” the next 2 weeks. The Right needs to not be fooled by it. Too many of our right side “commentators” try to be reasonable with the Left. They need to fight this spin tooth and nail.
I expect Obama to do a Biden. To dems all that matters is perception. They think if they interrupt and pretend to be alpha male and talk a lot the words don’t really matter. so Obama will come out guns blazing and full of energized BS. the MSM headlines are already written “Obama came out slugging tonight, energized and revitalized ....”
Reprogramming new catch phrases into the robot’s hard drive.
Apparently not President Obama told a Miami radio host yesterday that he never thought, during last weeks presidential debate, that Mitt Romney got the better of him. Thats not actually how I thought about it, Obama said on the Michael YO! Show when asked if there was a moment when he knew he was losing last week. I do think that on television it was clear that I was being too restrained when Mr. Romney was telling his tall tales. But the truth is, when you read the transcript, everything I said was true and a lot of what he said was not.
I stayed at Kingsmill once. It is a fancy place. Hopefully, the Idiot is adequately distracted.
The only “prep” Barry needs for the debate is Preparation H.
My question for Obama:
Mr. President, you have written that as a youth you were an “enthusiastic” drug user, admitting that you smoked marijuana and took cocaine. Considering that drug abuse is such a serious problem for many Americans, can you explain what caused you to give up illegal drug use?
And if you have given drugs, would you be willing to follow the example of members of the military and take a drug test immediately after the debate tonight to insure voters that you are not now consuming controlled substances?
Fat chance on that
Mitt should just say, “Mr. president, are you here to debate the facts, or just emulate that idiot vice-president of yours?”
