I think the Keystone state is in play for Romney and pick up in the Senate. For an incumbent senator like Casey polling under 47% that is not good for the jackass party.

I hope Smith consulted Santorum. Santorum destroyed Casey in their 2006 debate...which apparently was watched by three Pennsylvania voters.

If Casey is debating, they are worried in Pa.

Joe-I remember the 2006 debate. There were 3 of them-all; nationally televised. Santorum wiped the floor with him. He knew he was going to lose. Went down fighting exposing Casey as an empty suit.

Pennsylvania is definitely in play I just this week made a donation to the Pa republican party, Smith for senate and a few local state races.
Last week my daughter drove me around our neighborhood-Valley Forge- to do an unscientific sign count. It was overwhelmingly Republican. Last cycle the signs in our neighborhood broke about 50-50.
Just to make sure I went around again this am to count, but this time leaving out any sign that was on a right of way. I only counted signs that were on private properties.
23 supporting republican candidates and 3 supporting democrats. I only gave each property 1 count, even though one farm by me must have 20 republican signs on it. If this is the case, something big might be brewing!

Too bad no one will see it. Both the Eagles and Steelers play at 1pm.

The Steelers played on Thursday, so they aren’t on.

October 28. Not today.
If the Casey team is the one announcing the debate then it’s a mortal lock that the fix is in for him. Among all the dim bulb Dems in the Senate, Casey is probably the dimmest.
In a real debate — no teleprompters, no getting the questions beforehand, no hard-left biased moderator and panelists — Casey would curl up and die about 60 seconds in.
As others have pointed out, almost nobody will watch and therefore the winner of the debate will be determined solely by the media: in which case Casey wins in a landslide.

It just occurred to me:
The way that the Pres/VP debates have been so entertaining and well watched (over 125 million viewers so far) and informative, I bet that during these weeks these lesser known debates will get very widespread higher than normal ratings.
Will see...

I certainly hope you are right. Casey only stays popular by hiding under the radar in PA and allowing the general public to keep believing he is a clone of his father. The more he is forced to acknowledge his overwhelming support of Obama’s and Pelosi’s agenda the more we can chisel away his voters.

I’ve seen loads of Smith signs, not a single Casey sign.
