I have a picture in my mind of them putting him off the plane in Tripoli blindfolded then flying off.

Veteran United States diplomat takes up Libya ambassador post

Old Codger. 0bama and the Beast must've thought he was expendable, plus the Death Panels won't have to spend any time on him; Hussein's muzzie bros will take care of that.

Doesn't matter.
Dead man walking. A living Darwin Award nominee.

The "rules of engagement" are no better than those of our fighting men in the middle east:

No security; no arms; no ammunition. If attacked, reassure the koranimals that we love islam as they butcher us and blow up our facilities.

Only the insane with a death wish would accept such a post without the accompanying declarations.

This is sovereign US territory and will be defended with deadly force if attacked, or even threatened.
If attacked, retaliation with overwhelming force will be immediate and massive, without further notice, against all known headquarters or facilities of the known parties (muslim brotherhood.)
If the so-called local government is complicit and fails to provide effectual protection, its headquarters and facilities similarly will be utterly destroyed.
All foreign aid of ANY kind, direct or indirect (UN) will immediately cease for a minimum of 5 years. including "humanitarian" aid.
If Russia, China, Denmark or anyone else is willing to go in and give it a try, I say welcome to fiscal and cultural suicide.

Prepare everything necessary to achieve listed objectives AHEAD of time. Including all predetermined targets.

Feel bad for him. This is like the mafia’s car starting job. Not a good chance this guy survives.
