Virginia Poll: Romney Leads By 7 Romney 51% Obama 44%)
Breitbart ^ | 10/12/2012 | Tony Lee

Mitt Romney has taken a commanding 7-point lead over President Barack Obama in another Virginia poll.

According to a McLaughlin & Associates poll that had an R+.02 sample, Romney leads Obama in Virginia 51%-44%.

Among independents, Romney beats Obama by 11 points, 50%-39%.

If these numbers hold for Romney, Romney could be free to expand the electoral map and more aggressively make plays for states like Michigan and Pennsylvania that were considered "reaches" just two weeks ago.

In addition, this poll, which has Romney leading by double-digits among independents and has a sample that is more reflective of what the turnout will be in November than other polls, may be a more accurate snapshot of Virginia's electorate than other mainstream media polls.

The Suffolk folks have stopped polling Virginia, Florida and North Carolina. They’ve conceded these states to Romney and deemed spending polling resources there a waste of time and money.

I didn’t believe the polls when we were losing. I don’t believe the polls when we are winning.

Wise man but the Left does believe polls so it is fun to kick them with polls like this.

Isn’t McLaughlin very highly respected in the world of polling? He also has George Allen leading 49-46 over Kaine.

Does Virgil Goode show up in the polls? Were he not in the race, it might be something like Repubs 53 to Dems 44but then the Greens or Socialists or whoever else is in there might be getting votes otherwise destined for Obongo.

I mis-read the title and my heart skipped a beat thinking Obama was bouncing back in this state.

Yeah, best to double check before publishing... The excitement got the better of me. :)

Admin: Please edit headline: Place opening parenthesis before Romney, e.g. (Romney 51 Obama 44). Thanks!!

Polls are FINALLY reflecting reality, I don’t know what switch was flipped in their analysis, sampling or methodology, but the polls are finally reflecting what was blindingly obvious on the ground from day one.

Obama is DONE.

He has no chance at ANY SOUTHERN STATE! And yes I am including FLORIDA in that.. FL, NC and VA are completely off the table for him.

In the RUST BELT Obama is dead as well.. IA, WI, IN and OH will not go his way.. No chance in hell any of them will. Romney Very likely will Carry MI and a PA suprise is also not out of realm of possibility. Only states that are SAFE in the rust belt for Obama are IL and MN. And if Obama were to lose either one of those, all sorts of states no one is even remotely talking about will go from blue to red as as well.

In fact, with the sole exception of MN, Obama will not carry a single state he got less than 55% of the popular vote in in 2008, and he will lose a few that he did get over 55% in.. WI for example.

This election was never close... Never was going to be close.

Ohio is not close folks.. Obama will never pull out of OHIO, no matter how bad it is for him there, because its a must win for him, but he’s never had a chance in hell of winning OH.

PA is sitting at a few point margin, with that being said, Ohio is solidly Romney.

MI and PA are the battleground in the rust belt, and while neither is needed for a win, both are winnable.
