thought of my fellow Californian Energy Secretary Steven Chu last week, when I paid $4.89 a gallon in Gilroy for regular gas and had to wait in line to get it. The customers were in near revolt, but I wondered against what and whom. I mentioned to one exasperated motorist that there are estimated to be over 20 billion barrels of oil a few miles away, in newly found reserves off the California coast. He thought I was from Mars.
California may face the nations largest budget deficit at $16 billion. It may struggle with the nations second-highest unemployment rate at 10.6 percent. It will soon vote whether to levy the nations highest income and sales taxes, as if to encourage others to join the 2,000-plus high earners who are leaving the state each week. The new taxes will be our way of saying, Good riddance. And if California is home to one-third of the nations welfare recipients and the largest number of illegal aliens, it is nonetheless apparently happy and thus solidly for Obama, by a +24 percent margin in the latest Field poll. The unemployment rate in my hometown is 16 percent, the per capita income is $16,000 and I havent seen a Romney sticker yet.

Instead of attacking the basic changes in energy supply created by this regime which are directly contributing to the recipients dependency on whatever the regime is handing out ,by design.
Too many pundits draw from their limited personal immediate surrounding and life style are attacking the recipients with condemnation for using what a one time was termed relief .They are demonstrating they havent a clue what a retiree on a fixed income or even those out of work are going through at this time. And thats the problem.
You have a regime which by design is driving up the costs and uses of energy the most a basic resource because it suits its socialist matrix.
Whats even worse is the massive corrpution resulting from that regime doling out tons of funds for so called alternate forms which dont work towards its campaign donners. Thats getting a pass even by the Romney campaign and a huge mistake because this policy affects everyone. It is a bread a butter issue.
HIRE ROMNEY for LOWER GAS PRICES!
I too live in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California. The first slap in our face was our politicians including Boxer and Feinatein protecting a two inch fish which laid fallow prime farmland. The city of Mendota now has a 45 percent unemployment rate. For fifty years, the do-gooder liberals have had their way with this state. They have ruined it. Also they are ruining our cars with all the poor freeways.
It’s weird driving down the 5 and seeing the dustbowl created by these whack jobs and all the signs dotting the landscape pointedly saying why the land looks like that and who is responsible.
Worse, I think of the growers and pickers who have been forced into bankruotcy and on welfare. Additionally, all the people whose livelyhoods depended on those farmers and pickers spending money in their restaurants, stores and other establishments.
It’s stoopit and also adds to the cost of food since way , way less is being grown for those po widdle pish.
Mexifornia is being punished by Jerry Brown for being liberal..
And punished by Barry Obama for being stupid..
Thats the way it should be..
50 Years of democrat and union domination has brought the once thriving city to it's knees.
Don’t feel a bit sorry for liberal Californians ... I do for the few conservatives left there. They voted for the idiots that are ruining that once great state ... now they can live with the consequenses. Unless you are a patriotic CONSERVATIVE ... don’t come to Arizona ... we don’t want your liberalism here
The NEW ballad of Jed Clampett
Come and listen to a story bout a man named Jed
Poor oil entrepreneur barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was working for some food,
And up through the town come a bumbling clown
(Brown that is, take a toke, what a joke)
Well the first thing you know old Jeds taxes are to much to bear,
Kin folk said Jed move away from there!
Said Kalifornia is no place for you to be
So they loaded up the truck and they moved from Beverly
(gon back to the Hills they are, fishn holes, country and western stars)
Well now its time to say goodbye to Jed and all his kin
They would like to thank you folks for kindly dropping in
Youre all invited back again to their new locality
To have a heaping helping of their hospitality
(Redneck Hillbillies, is what the press call em now,
Clingers of bibles and guns and to Obama no bow!
Nice folks Yall come back now, ya hear?)

I also live in the Central Valley. I do not believe the “Delta smelt” issue is all about the Delta smelt. I believe it is and always has been about controlling access to WATER. Control the water and you can put the farmer out of business. Then the government can come and buy up the land cheap. I don’t think the high speed train is just about the high speed train either. Another ruse to take farmland away from the farmer. Control the means of food production and you control the people. And, Agenda 21 creeping its way in.
I too have wondered about A21.
The train thing hadn’t entered my mind.
California gets what it deserves. Simple as that.
They wanted their green agenda...they got it.
They ushered in all global warming policies...they got it.
They are the birthplace of gay rights...they got it.
They are anti-business and businesses moved out...they got it.
They were rabid environazis...they got it.
And the list goes on and on and on.
I hope they set the example to the world as to what can happen to a radical populace when it becomes out of control.
You're on to something there. Feels like the state bureaucracy is channeling towards hydraulic despotism...
The air resources board is responsible for the price of gasoline in California.
They represent what is called an ‘administrative state’ more commonly known as a communist council.
They are political appointees, the council was created by Jerry Brown to fulfill his Dad’s plan for acquiring oil wealth from the Indonesian dictator Sukarno by creating the boutique gasoline rules for California gas. These rules guaranteed that only foreign light sweet crude (and a little Alaska oil) could be acquired for refining in California. It gave the Brown family vast wealth to restrict oil from other parts of the US by funneling the only allowed oil through their holding company.
The air resources board members, are put into place through a political patronage system.
They are responsible, along with the Brown family for this mess.
And did you notice, that to get Jerry Brown elected for a third term, they modified the term limit proposition so that people elected before 1980s something would be exempt?
These are only some of the ways we have allowed California’s government to become corrupt beyond belief, and to instill the communist way of life— rule by unelected councils and unelected regional boards— in California.
You are correct.
Your comments show a disdain for defending the freedom of others,
Instead of enlisting in the fight to help your fellow citizens, you are throwing them to the communists.
California’s problems didn’t come from loyal American citizens, but from the globalists who control government in every state. From the time they started busing illegals to the polls in the 1980’s to throw elections, you can be assured it wasn’t the citizen that started the snowball to hell.
Any attempts to fight back, like proposition 187 were destroyed by the globalist interests who wanted to bring California under international control.
So we are fighting, we are being destroyed by the globalists, and if you are a fellow citizen, your attitude and comments only add to the destruction.
Nice going.
Boo Hoo!
We have the SAME globalists here in Texas but gee whiz, we don’t seem to have the troubles you have.
You are FLAT WRONG! It was the voters in California who brought all of this upon themselves and now they whine about it.
My tagline is NEVER WRONG....especially for Californications.
