While careful not to get drawn into the conspiracy-theory wonk camp, CNBC's Rick Santelli just connects the dots on last week's miraculous unemployment rate. In one of the most voluminous rants we can remember, Santelli - from a position of realist (and market whisperer) - argued with Liesman - from a position of 'but, but, the data must be true' - and summed it all perfectly "if I told you that you'd win the lottery tomorrow, and you did; wouldn't you wonder how did I know that?" With Langone also chipping in that he does not see anything in his business to suggest unemployment is improving at all - we think the bigger elephant-in-the-room is the Liesman 'comfortably-numb' line-of-questioning on "why did you think last month that this month's unemployment rate would be under 8%"; i.e., why did you think there would be manipulation?

Sounds like attempts to rationalize last week’s ridiculous unemployment numbers make Rick mad.
Maybe Rick knows the Emperor has no clothes and is tired of saying he does?
Watch out for Steve Lice man.
It’s more like the clothes have no Emperor...
Good ol’ Rick. If it weren’t for him, there’d be no Tea Party movement; he started the ball rolling back in ‘09. I’m surprised that CBS continues to employ someone who tells the truth.
Completely stoopit argument, with everyone trying to out information the discussion and put an intellectualy moral spin on it.
Bottom line is the numbers were cooked.
Americans ain’t stupid. We can do anything.
It’s not because of some college or high school thing. Most people can do simple math and that really is what is required to find out if you are making money, losing money or making progress.
It’s no pathagarian theory. It’s basic math.
Steve LIESman is a far-left Keynesian Communist who looks down on everyone else as an idiot. Notice how he treats anyone who disagrees with him. He also talks over others, interrupts, belittles and ridicules the views of others, calling those who object conspiracy theorists. Steve LIESman should be fired. He hates capitalism. He hates America. He hates business. Why is he on a financila news netowrk?
‘Why September’s Unemployment Number is Suspicious’
Excerpt..
Of course, nothing can be proved. Rare and improbable events can happen. It’s possible that an event that is expected to occur only once about every 700 years happened to occur for the first time in 65 years just one month before a presidential election.
Unlikely things can happen. Like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hugo Chavez getting re-elected and Saddam Hussein getting 100% of the vote. So maybe there’s no reason to be suspicious.
I believe that Steve is a lot more connected to puppet masters than many people could ever imagine. He is one of the key players who has been sent to spread propaganda whenever needed.
“Watch out for Steve Lice man.”
You’ve got THAT right!
Steve speaks Russian very well.
