Israelis Deploy Patriot Missiles After 'Hezbollah' Drone Enters Airspace

Israeli officials have deployed a Patriot surface-to-air anti-missile battery to northern Israel Monday, in an apparent response to the appearance of a mysterious drone in Israeli airspace over the weekend.

On Saturday, an Israel Air Force jet shot down an unmanned aerial drone over the Negev desert in southern Israel. Israeli officials said they believed the craft had originated in Lebanon and was controlled by the Lebanese terror group Hezbollah.

According to the Israel Defense Force, the drone entered Israel from Mediterranean, flying over the Gaza Strip and then over the Negev. It was shot down south of the West Bank.

The IDF was tracking it from Lebanon. The interesting part is that it was an unmanned helicopter. Iran has been working on that technology for years.

The IDF tried to take over guidance but was unable, so they degraded it.

Patriot missile? I don’t think so. It was obviously an air to air launched from the F-16 that appears in the screen from the same direction a second or two after the kaboom. It would be nuts to be that close to a target knowing that a ground launched Patriot was inbound.

Could be this drone wasn't for photo reconnaissance but to test Israel's air defense network. If the Iranians built a drone that could carry a nuke it might be the easiest way to penetrate the border.

I wouldn't be surprised if B.HusseinO gift wrapped that himself and personally delivered it to our enemies in Tehran. Why in the H wasn't that drone destroyed before our enemies could copy cat it? A MAJOR breach somewhere at the decision making level of our national defense/military. Then again, BO is a walking breach isn't he?
