BIG NEWS FOR TONIGHT: CARAVAN LED BY CAMPAIGN BUSES WILL LEAD HUNDREDS FROM BRIGHTON RALLY TO ROCHESTER HILLS PAUL RYAN RALLY
Today will be a huge day for supporters of the Romney/Ryan ticket in southeastern Michigan. Tonight at 5:00 PM supporters will gather at Brighton's Millpond Park for a "Rebuild America - Defeat Obama" rally featuring speeches and patriotic musical performances. (Website: www.RebuildAmericaTour.org)
Then around 6:30 PM supporters will caravan to Rochester Hills for rally featuring Congressman Paul Ryan and musical legend, Kid Rock. The caravan will be led by the two "Rebuild America - Defeat Obama" buses that feature Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
"Michigan is a very competitive state right now, despite the fact that Barack Obama's campaign has taken the state for granted. We've seen polling numbers that show the race is neck-and-neck following last week's debate, and we're determined to help push the Romney/Ryan ticket to victory in Michigan," declared Lloyd Marcus, Chairman of The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama.
To date, The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama PAC has spent nearly $800,000 on ads opposing Barack Obama's re-election.

Nah, I don’t go much further from home than Jackson or Hillsdale.
Yes I agree it is the perception. The rest of the country (even on FR) seems unaware of what we’ve done the last two years, even though we’ve both mentioned the GOP swing.
Watched Michigan for many years from the outskirts of Cleveland and I think it's the feeling that Michigan seems like a tease in the Presidential elections as being possible to go Republican but it usually doesn't.
I personally think that the GM thing may have changed the ground rules in Michigan but I think people are still looking at Michigan based on expectations of past performance.
I hope like hell that Michigan finally cracks the nut and figures a way to a Republican Presidential victory in the state like Ohio has in recent years. I had no idea that the Republicans had done so well in the state and I'm very happy to hear it! Thanks for sharing.....
Great song! I hadn’t heard it, or of him. Curious: what’s his bio?
The video was filmed here in Michigan. I believe he grew up in the outlying Detroit area.
Thanks for the video.
Bush came within 4% of winning here, and probably had it if it wasn't for cheating in Detroit.

Enter At Your Own Risk: Police Union Says War-Like Detroit Is Unsafe For Visitors
Michigan? Wow. Must be competitive for R/R to be spending resources there!
Much of FR thinks Michigan is a giant mosque.
...and we ALL live in Detroit
...and we are ALL union workers
Romney was in Fla last week, he’s in Va right now. He’s in OH in two days.
Outside Dearborn that is not at **ALL** true.
Even in Dearborn, a significant percentage of the Arab population consists of Christians who fled Islamic persecution and have absolutely zero tolerance for Islam, knowing what it is from firsthand experience.
When I grew up in Grand Rapids, which has never had a Democratic Party majority on the Kent County Commission in the entire history of the state since the county was organized in the early 1800s, it was not uncommon to see bumper stickers saying “secede from Detroit.”
Michigan's blue collar Detroit suburbs were the center of the “Reagan Democrat” movement.
The state is winnable if a candidate has the same attributes that made Democrats vote for Reagan.
Whether Mitt Romney is that candidate is questionable, but given his personal ties to the state, he may have a better chance than one would expect.
Not waste time in MI???? surely you jest.. fellow freeper.
Ok, IF bammy is in OH, which Axelgrease swears they are winning by a HUGH and SERIES margin, why is HE wasting his time there? HHHhhhmmmm? Internals must be a #)(@#&!
If Ryan can make a pitstop in MI and drum up votes, that’s a good thing. Make bammy spend more moola where he thinks he doesn’t have to. What was bammy doing in Kalleefornya yesterday?
Polls are all over the map. Just do your part and vote, get everyone else you know to vote for R/R. Let’s do this!
I have a fantasy of putting up a billboard at the entrance to the city limits which states:
“My name is Union, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
Hey, will this be streamed? I would love to watch and route for you guys.
Time to end the national nightmare and let him go.
I have a nephew in Grand Rapids, and he is strongly GOP. He is in the same strangle hold in Michigan than I have in Minnesota.
Rural areas of Minnesota are largely conservative. Our MN Sixth District goal is to sweep all the state legislative offices for the GOP - 100%. It is actually doable. Not all Minnesotans ot Michiganers are dimwitted Democrats!!!!!!
I'll never get used to Southern heat — hundred-degree days aren't my thing.
But after spending three-fourths of my life in the North with serious winter blizzards in places where Lake Effect snow off Lake Michigan turned crisp cold days into dozen-inch snowstorms, it's kind of nice to see that the worst snowfalls around here are what I would have considered a nice winter day with a couple of inches of fluffy snow outside... ;-)
