Liberals fret: Is Obama bored? Does he want a second term? Maybe not.

There’s no doubt President Obama’s liberal supporters are worried by his lackluster performance in the Denver debate. “Everyone is in shock,” one show-business liberal told the Hollywood reporter. “No one can understand what happened.” The Obama faithful are offering the White House advice, talking points, pep talks — anything to improve the president’s performance when he next faces Mitt Romney at Hofstra University on October 16.

During the last debate, Barry gave me the impression that he knows that he is in over his head. Besides, he also knows the crappy economy he’ll “inherit” if he is reelected. It’s worse now than the one he “inherited” from Dubya.

Of course he wants a second term.If he gets the boot he knows that OsamaObamaCare might go down in flames and he does *not* want that.If he gets four more he’ll just mail in the unconstitutional Executive Orders and spend the rest of the time on the links, secure in the knowledge that the Republicans won’t be able to do a damn thing about it and that he’ll be adored by many, here and overseas, for the rest of his sorry existence.

He expected Romney to fight like McCain (i.e. not at all).

It’s impossible for Bozo to come back. You can’t cram a lifetime of learning into a few mock debates.

Mitt has done his due diligence. Obama, not so much.

The rest is inevitable. The media will harp on some “gaffes,” but the horse has left the barn.

He knows he can not please his handlers and deal with a Republican House and Senate. He knows the fixed books must be unfixed and the real problems revealed. He knows he has no clue as to how to solve the problem.

He probably knows that he has had more death threats than any living president.

It boils down to a lose, lose, lose, lose proposition.

He’s bored and she’s admitted to hating being FOTUS. OTOH, they enjoy the perks. It’s a coin toss.

I've been saying all along that he doesn't want a second term.

Why work 4 more years when he will get the same pension and benefits....for life!!!

After this past three years of total surrender to jihadists and economic ruin via debt/socialized medicine and welfare, the nation is in over it’s head, no matter who win’s the election, the damage is going to result in crisis for the US.

I hope Romney wins to get Obama and his commie Czars out. But I feel sorry for him if he “wins” the foreign and domestic disaster that is America today. It’s going to be painful in terms of foreign attacks and domestic hysterics.

He's been considered brilliant by libs/Dems/press his entire career including his first 2 years when he had Pelosi doing his dirty work. He's bored with no longer being considered a god. Convincing people your stupid ideas aren't...is hard work. He's never had to do that before. Even if he's reelected, he's likely looking at an even more hostile Congress. He just wants results, he doesn't want to actually work for them.

I agree. The future doesn’t look very bright for America. It’s going to take a long time to clean up the mess left over from the past four or five years. JMO.

It occurred to me some time ago, and only got reinforced during and after the debate, that Obama would be inheriting
FOUR years of failed Obama policies, rather than 8 years of failed Bush policies. Looking toward the future, I can see how dispiriting it must be for someone like him, to see himself over a period of a new 4 year term, defending himself
while dealing with all the nagging questions of
JUST WHY IT WAS that ALL his policies were continuing to plague the country. This is not a guy who is cut out for that kind of politics. It’s either throw in the towel, or risk having to become a literal demagogue that was willing to defend the growing unrest that would follow him around for four more years. As we already know, he’d rather play Celebrity President, and play golf and shoot hoops.’
We are witnessing the first phase of Obama throwing in the towel, and the next debates, between him and Romney, and between Ryan and Biden, are only going to accelerate that process.

I agree with you.

If I had to guess at this point, Romney will win. He will act decisively to correct things, and be fought every inch of the way by the democrats/media.

Palin may be our nominee in 2016.

It’s early to be speaking too much about that, but it’s on the map. Romney 2012. Palin 2016.
