Much is being made of the devastating blow that Mitt Romney administered to President Obama in the first presidential debate Wednesday night. Romney was masterful; Obama was incomprehensible. Romney was presidential; Obama was incoherent. Romney schooled Obama; Obama responded by doing the hand motions to "The Wheels On the Bus Go Round and Round." Republicans and conservatives alike were cheering. Even Romney skeptics like me happily conceded that Romney was the right guy all along. There will be an October surprise from the Obama camp, but they got one themselves Wednesday night.
Obama was rambling, fumbling, stuttering. He was terrible. This was a great night for freedom-lovers. If sixty million Americans were watching, freedom has a shot at resuscitation. Even Obama's own camp was crestfallen. Bill Maher tweeted: "Obama made a lot of great points tonight. Unfortunately, most of them were for Romney." And: "I can't believe I'm saying this, but Obama looks like he DOES need a teleprompter." Maher is noticing only now? Andrew Sullivan tweeted in dismay: "This is a rolling calamity for Obama."
But is Obama worried? Not for a second. He doesn't care. Because that's not his job. Obama is merely the pretty face for the über-left monster. Let's face it: Obama is merely a figurehead. A happy face for the anti-American, anti-individual, anti-capitalist revolution. He's a movie star, nothing more. He's an impressive façade with nothing behind it, like a Hollywood set. But the American people should be concerned about his puppet masters: Reverend Wright, George Soros, Bill Ayers, and a cabal of Islamic supremacist Muslim Brotherhood operatives. That's who's running the country.

The debate offered some encouragement, it’s not over yet.
Miami Herald:
“.......... In the coming days, should Obamas performance get lampooned on The Daily Show, Saturday Night Live, Leno and Letterman, it could create an impression that lasts, an image of the president as too academic, too cold, uneasy with being challenged.
Obamas life and his operating style had been built around avoiding confrontation, Bob Woodward wrote in his book The Price of Politics, as he described the presidents frosty relationship with Democratic congressional leaders.
...What Romneys showing does is get the undecideds and persuadables, most of whom are struggling for economic security, to take another look. Obamas approval numbers have languished around 50 percent, consumer confidence remains sluggish, unemployment is stuck over 8 percent and the economy grew at a miserable 1.3 percent pace last quarter.
... This was the first time the president really had to answer for his record, Romney senior strategist Stuart Stevens said.
Romney suddenly has momentum, and the race resets.”

Exactly right. That is why he is hopeless when he actually has to think on his feet. One thing, though, I believe the real puppet masters are the UN. Guys like Wright - they're a dime a dozen.
“..........How on earth did Obama let an hour and a half go by and not mention Romney’s taped remarks about writing off 47 percent of the country as freeloaders, or bring up his career at Bain Capital? This wasn’t a PBS seminar on the intricacies of the federal budget.
The media pile-on will change the way voters look at the debate, as happened after Gore’s eye-rolling performance in 2000. Instead of recalling a debate in which Romney outhustled and outpointed the president, Denver will be remembered as a horrifying debacle for Obama. Being pounded in the press hour after hour changes the way an event is viewed in the rearview mirror. The Saturday Night Live parody can’t be far behind.
.........Perhaps the most damaging aspect of Obama’s presentation is that he appeared to lack passion. Some voters may conclude that that he is out of energy and ideas for a second term, while Romney will undoubtedly get a second look from wavering voters.
A final thought about moderator Jim Lehrer, who is getting creamed for losing control of the debate and likened to a replacement ref. Lehrer’s philosophy is to minimize his role and let the candidates go at it. Since they did that in spades, and on substance, what exactly is wrong with that? “
Their candidates -- the successful ones -- are all shams. They're propped-up charlatans with phoney marriages, phoney backgrounds, phoney resumes and given the "genius/star" makeover as if the little Liberaces had nothing in the closet but suits.
What, sympathy for the carny barker? Now, that's almost funny.
Although Lehrer did amuse from time to time with his horrified chipmunk-in-the-headlights stare as the candidates began to brawl and get away from him. His clock control was risible.
“One thing, though, I believe the real puppet masters are the UN.”
During the debate on Foreign Policy, Mitt’s first question to BO has to be: ‘What exactly did you mean when you told Medvedev to advise Putin that you could BE MORE FLEXIBLE after you were re-elected?’
Were you planning to create A ONE WORLD ORDER OF SOCIALISM?!!!!!!!
"I inhaled frequently, that was the point."
Amen. I'll be glad when he is booted off Broadway.
“Republicans and conservatives alike were cheering”
Thanks for the distinction. I certainly no longer want to be classified as a “republican”.
We saw last Wed. night why Zero would not meet with Bibi Netanyahu, he is an empty suit when meeting one on with a none believer!
He didn’t mention the 47 percent only because his own radical tape was released the day before exposing his anti white sentiments. Romney was sure to counter with it if Obama put the tape on the table.
Fetch that kid a cross!
N-i-c-e take.
Just ask any Obama supporter why they vote for him. Amazingly, Obama supporters cannot explain why they like or vote for Obama.
Now, this is a calculated strategy by Team Obama. The Obama PR apparatus is tightly controlled. The Team allows voters very little info about the candidate---only what THEY want them to know.
After he was elected, Anita "Mao" Dunn who was the candidate's PR strategist, actually said they gave out info to the media that allowed them to report only what they wanted them to report. And they're still at it.
CASE IN POINT When our Ambassador and three Americans were killed at the US consulate, the Obama Team purposely and persistently underplayed what had happened......as well as the motives and identity of the murderers.
Amazingly, pre-debate Obama's polls numbers in swing states rose, as the president, secy of state, UN ambassador and White House press spokesman, all in lockstep---insisted that the murderous attack was the outgrowth of a protest over a video, when the facts indicate otherwise. The Obamatons were loathed to notify Americans that the 100 million-strong Muslim World united in terror against America.
The super-secretive Obama campaign strategy is downright scary---a first for a govt founded on openness. Even more terrifying is that this administration has launched spying operations on Americans more than any other. But the mediahas yet to report all of Obama's anti-American activities.
I’m not sure who is really running the country any more, but I’d add Valerie Jarrett to the list. Or maybe she is just a go-between.
I agree Rev. Wright is irrelevant and not a player on the world stage.
I see the Clintons as part of a faction that used to be relevant and is now hanging on on the sidelines and trying to regain a bigger piece of the pie.
