Party like its 1980!
Bewildered and lost without his teleprompter, President Obama flailed all around the debate stage last night. He was stuttering, nervous and petulant. It was like he had been called in front of the principal after goofing around for four years and blowing off all his homework.
Not since Jimmy Carter faced Ronald Reagan has the U.S. presidency been so embarrassingly represented in public. Actually, thats an insult to Jimmy Carter.
The split screen was most devastating. Mitt Romney spoke forthrightly, with carefully studied facts and details at the ready. He looked right at the president and accused him of being miles out of his depth.
Mr. Obama? His eyes were glued to his lectern, looking guilty and angry and impatient with all the vagaries of Democracy. This debate was seriously chaffing him.
What exactly was Mr. Obamas strategy here? Did he figure with so many people unemployed in this abomination of an economy he should go for the sympathy vote? Like voters could relate to a guy who is just scared pantsless that he is about to lose his job?
In the middle of the blood-letting segment about jobs, Mr. Romney said good-naturedly: This is fun.

Whether he’s your guy or not, Mitt Romney is the candidate and he did a hell of a job tonight. So, if you can’t get behind him, keep it to yourself. Or in other words, lead, follow, or get out of the way.
Otherwise you’re helping Obama pure and simple.
He is the emptiest of suits, the nakedest of emperors.
It was crazy trying to watch Obama defend the death panel. See, uh, what we need is, uh, 15 unelected bureaucrats, you see, coming up with fresh, new ideas on how to order around 300 million other people.
I don’t like Romney either, but I really enjoyed seeing him beat the tar out of Obama tonight.
And, I would vote for a can of corn, before I would vote for Obama.
I’ll hold my nose, vote for Romney and pray for more tea party/conservatives to gain control of the senate and the house.
I totally agree. Whoever deployed the video knew it wasn't a game-changer but if it was released just 24 hours before the debate it would rattle Obama, maybe cause him to lose sleep.
Mitt won of facts. Mitt won on persistence. Mitt won on keeping his cool. Mitt won on image. hussein was on the ropes and defensive most of the time. hussein kept coming back to the same fact-free talking points (5 trillion in cuts? how many times do you want the electorate hear Mitt tell you that you are wrong hussein?)
There are just two things I'm surprised at. One, how completely ill-prepared hussein apparently was for this debate. Seriously, I took debating classes back in college several decades ago, I was better prepared going into those than hussein was tonight. Two, that the liberal MSM is actually making some initial calls regarding the outcome that are not too far off from reality. Not sure which is more surprising.
Boom baby, Mitt is in it! He jumped into the middle of hussein's **** with both feet tonight.
Gold State GOP - That says it all!
Now that's funny.
One thing is for sure, at this years press correspondence dinner Jim Lerher will get a milk crate to sit at at the back door.
Jim Lerher was suppose to be asking questions with skewed liberal promises, that’s the mainstream media’s oath. He may well be excommunicated if not burned at the stake.
Jim ole boy, your in a fix now, it’s time to start spending your days at the horse track. No book deal! No invite to Dan Rather’s house!
I'll bet there's even more and worse videos out there that 'The Won' doesn't want the people to see. From "Serenity" "You can't stop the signal'.
Best post of the night!
God is still in control and prayer changes things!
Four years of darkness almost over. Well done Mittens.
Yeah I see your point. Serious problem you got there.
It turns out that the Master Debater is just another intellectual masturbator.
I’m getting out of the way.
I just call it like I see it. If he wasn’t a liberal, I couldn’t wait to vote early!

Bovine Scatology.
I had a meeting so wasn’t able to watch the whole thing. I did notice early on that Lehrer was trying to feed Obama his lines - what you’re saying Mr. President, is that we have to balance new taxes with spending reductions or some such. He may have given it up as a hopeless cause later in the debate.

a sandman with feet of clay...
about to be washed away into the dustbin of history by the Tsunami in November.
