CNN ^

(CNN) – Sixty-seven percent of registered voters who watched the debate said GOP nominee Mitt Romney won the debate, while 25% said President Barack Obama came out as the winner, according to a CNN/ORC International Poll released late Wednesday night.

For the survey, 430 adult Americans were interviewed by telephone after the end of the debate. The poll does not and cannot reflect the views of all Americans. It only represents the views of people who watched the event.

But is it enough to help Romney win Ohio? Because that’s getting to be what the whole election comes down to.

But but but I thought McRomney was McLame redux, that he didn’t want to win, that he was just going through the motions, that the fix was in.

You mean to say Mitt actually fought to WIN?

"Scheiffer is obviously a stooge."

He's been that way since he covered the Lincoln/Douglas debates for Horace Greeley.

Lehrer tried tonight by giving Obama more time. However, Obama did not come prepared to fill the time with substance.

From on-line tweet:

”Obama didn’t speak for four more minutes than Mitt he THOUGHTFULLY PAUSED for four more minutes than Mitt”

I have a bad feeling that there won’t be any more debates.
Bam will just refuse.

25% is the absolute physical floor of Obama support. Obama could come out on stage, curl up in his chair, take a nap, and still have 25% of Americans say he won the debate.

Which is essentially what he did tonight, come to think of it...

Candy Crowley from CNN. and when asked if she thought it was fair that Bam got FOUR MORE MINUTES than Mittens to talk,,she gave a spin answer that indicated she will
probably do same for her guy in the next debate. GIVE HIM MORE TIME.(Lib mantra from CNN).

Problem is that more time for Hussein only hurts him.

Clear sign of Romney’s dominance is that he seemed to be doing most of the speaking, even though he was given less time by the modertor

“Does anyone really believe that Obama will improve without significant help from the moderator? “

Both Reagan and Bush did badly in first debates and ‘came back’.

But this was not just style (Obama looking down was WEAK).
This was substance. Obama’s attacks on Romney are lies and he just swatted them away.
Meanwhile, Romney demolished all Obama’s accomplishments, except for auto bailout.

” The reason why he won’t is because the reason he didn’t well is because of the substance. He has nothing to talk about.”

Exactly. Obama didnt defend his record except in the beginning, he touted the 5 million jobs created. But Romney was more effective in his stories of people still hurting and the data for where we are now.

Facts are not on obama’s side.

Romney demolished Obamacare and all Obama could do is come back and say it was like Romneycare. lol.
So Obama likes Romney’s policies now?!?!?

You should see Chrissy Mathews hysterical meltdown on Rachel Madcow's show.... with race baiter Al Sharpton, Ed Schulz and two other radical left toons, all nodding in agreement with Chrissy's rant over 0dumb0's dismal performance.

Best line from Chrissy's rant..."What was Romney doing? He was winning!"

Mitt will win the presidency.

For all my anger towards him in the primary guess what?

Tonight he was the best GOP debater since Reagan, no question about it.

Good points... I am still uneasy about your first statement and not quite as confident as I wish I could be... but lots of hoping & praying & contributing!

I also did not support him at all in the primary elections.

But I really agree with your 3rd point! After enduring through horrible debate performances by doofus GWB and inept John McCain, it was a relief to finally hear a Repub presidential candidate perform well in this debate, and in fact to clearly OUTPERFORM the incompetent affirmative action man-child 0dumb0!

my concern is that they will change the next two debates and give Obama a heads-up.

The only heads up Obama's going to get, is that he's going to get his azz whupped by Romney AGAIN.

This could be good. I think Bush dominated the debates in ‘04. McCain wasn’t that great in the debates.
Obama was more like the first Bush against Clinton.
Winner will be decided by the independents.

Seen many comments by web users who say Romney absolutely won the debate but their still voting for Obama.
Debates not gonna change anything for the %47. Romney needs
to close the deal on the %6.

Most here would not vote for obama if Romney blew all of the debates because Romney’s already made the sale. like it or not.

I think a lot of us are uneasy about Romney in many ways. But given the situation, and given what will happen if Obama gets four more years, voting for Romney like your life depended on it is probably a good idea.

Note, for instance, that Liberal leading lights are now openly arguing against the first amendment. Let that sink in for a moment.
