There is a kind of magic that causes oil to cause all kinds of environmental problems in non-OPEC countries but not in OPEC countries.

Consequently, environmentalists will go around the world doing whatever it takes to stop non-OPEC oil projects in non-OPEC countries, but never OPEC projects.

The United States carbon dioxide emissions for 2012 are on a pace to be LOWER than U.S. carbon dioxide emissions for 1992. That’s not lower per capita. That’s not lower relative to industrial output. That’s LOWER, period.

And the main reason for the lower emissions is fracking. If we continue fracking, it’s likely that the trucking companies will switch to natural gas to save money. At that point, we might surpass the Kyoto protocols (5.2 percent below 1990 levels) without anyone even noticing.

On the one hand, liberal environmentalists say that global warming will destroy the earth. On the other hand, they oppose any solution that will actually work. I’m an environmentalist and a conservative, and I just find that left-wing attitude really annoying.

“It will produce a mouth foaming, wild-eyed reaction reminiscent of the beast-man that attacked Michael York in the cave scene of the 1977 version of The Island of Dr. Moreau.”

The writer must have graduated from the Dennis Miller school of obsure references. In any case I know what he means. During a meeting at work someone mentioned fracking and a known liberal went into what can best be described as a “muslim rage boy” moment.

Enviros always need something to keep the public frightened of something.

Remember lead in gas and paint, then mercury, then nuke plants, then Alar, then Radon, then stray inductive electricity from power lines, then chlorine bleach, then coal, now fracking.

And lots of little things in between.

When they casts this MORON as Jason Bourne, I was very disappointed, in fact I didn't even watch the whole 1st movie.

Robert Ludlum is one of my favorite authors and had read everything he wrote including the Bourne series and why of all the more mature, good actors in HollyWeird they chose Damon, I'll never know.
