My recollection is that the State Department may have illegally deleted a document related to Benghazi security threats. If so, this could creditably be compared to Rose Mary Woods and the unexplained deletion of several minutes on one of Nixon's tapes.
Very Watergate-like.

Sorry, didn't look close enough, though you were asking if these are true legitimate Watergate sized Scandals.... BigGulp sized scandals.

Comparing Benghazi or Fast and Furious to Watergate does a disservice to Watergate. Yes, the break-in and cover up showed a contemptuous attitude toward the Constitution on the part of the Nixon administration, but nobody died.
Obama, Holder, et al, have shown that same contempt for the Constitution in a myriad of ways and yet Woodstein and Bernward (and the rest of the lap dog media) are silent.
Maddow is right (and about the only thing Maddow and I would ever agree on is the time of day), Republicans need to find a new touchstone for corruption, but not for the reasons she thinks.
Because Benghazi is far, far worse than Watergate.

(At what point does policy become treason?)
To: Qbert
By defending and attempting to obfuscate the incompetence of the Obama Administration’s handling of the events that resulted in the deaths of at least six Americans in Libya, Rachel Maddow has forfeited her humanity.

“Blackburn struggled to explain what it is about the attack she considers Watergate-like”
It’s not about the act, it’s about the COVER-UP of the act. To me, that is what is Watergate-like.
