For more than 50 years, the black community has been the wholly owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party. That may be changing. In spite of the overwhelmingly liberal voting patterns of black voters, they are an essentially conservative community. Americans of African descent are more pro-life and pro-family than the average white voter and as conservative on social issues as any white evangelical.
Democrats have managed to monopolize the black vote in spite of the vast chasm between the two on social issues. This philosophical difference has become more pronounced in the past 20 years, as liberals have embraced far-left progressivism. Their view of “social justice” embraces the killing of an unborn child right up to the moment before birth. Indeed, President Obama, the iconic representative of the far left, believes that even a child born alive should be left to die without medical treatment if the mother intended an abortion. He championed this Mengelean position as a state senator in Illinois.
I was raised to be an FDR Democrat because my father was a young man during the Depression and credited President Roosevelt with saving him from starvation. “The Republicans only care about rich people,” I was told. This was more than 40 years ago. In spite of my childhood indoctrination, as a young man newly committed to my Christian faith, I had a crisis of conscience in the late 1970s. Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank was pushing the homosexual agenda. How could I, as a Christian, be committed to a party led by Mr. Frank? In the end, I could not. I know a lot of blacks who well educated, well spoken, who work hard, and are polite and honest people. They pay their own way, and are nothing like the "Obama phone" woman. However, they absolutely will vote for Obama simply because he is black.

When black Americans drop their hyphenated divisiveness, (among other things) then you might see a movement to the conservative.

When you start with a false premise, the rest of the article is worthless. Ignoring voting patterns, where is this evidence that blacks are more pro-life and pro-family and socially conservative than whites? Is it in the number of abortions they have? Nope. Is it in the percentage of out-of-wedlock babies they have? Nope. How about the amount of crime they commit? Nope, again. Perhaps this social conservatism manifests itself in a work ethic and taking care of oneself, resulting in a much lower percentage of takers vs. makers than the white population. No, you say?
I'm sorry but that statement is 100% verifiable bunk. Now, we as conservatives need to work to change that, but as of now, blacks, on average, are simply not conservative.

Wishful thinking, but I can’t see that happening—”you can’t fix stupid”.
It will be the sons and daughters of patriotic Black conservatives that will free these democrat slaves, if ever, and that Freedom won’t come for generations.
Regardless of the color of skin, we now live in a society in which nearly 50% of our people are “takers”.
Our leaders are corrupt and the moms and dads are no longer parents— they simply don’t raise their kids. Instead, they bring small people into the world and simply watch them become big people.... people that are leaches that scrape out an existence off of others.
Anyway, I fully expect 95% of the voting Blacks to vote for their candyman, Obama, as well as his corrupt democrats—all slave masters.
If the Black voters truly want to be Free, they need to help vote Obama and the democrats out of power, but they won’t, they’re just too stupid.
