"The Jerry Doyle Show The Jerry Doyle Show Published 1-Oct-2012 in TRN Central News
Central Point, OR Today begins the first in a series of changes to bring talk radio firmly into the 21st century. For too long, weve had to choose between ratings and salability, but no longer. Today the 6th largest syndicated talk show in America replaces what was the 3rd largest show, and in so doing, stations will get more light and less heat, a show that they can sell locally with pride, but also a show that will respect its stations, advertisers and audiences with a brilliance that sets great shows apart from good ones.
The show that premieres today in the 3pm to 6pm Pacific (6pm to 9pm Eastern) slot has earned its place in the Talkers Magazine rankings as the 6th largest syndicated talk radio show in America, through merit. TRN Enterprises owns no stations our shows have to earn their keep and stations love what this show does for them - through merit alone.
Today that show will jump several spots to become the new 3rd or 4th largest syndicated show in the United States.
Jet pilot, Wall Street investment banker for 10 years, Hollywood star for 12 years, former congressional nominee and now radio giant who has earned his right to this spot for close to 9 years. Jerry Doyle is the future of talk radio. He will bring massive audiences through word of mouth because he is brilliant and funny, showing both emotional and intellectual range that is beyond rare.
The Jerry Doyle Show is eminently saleable. He understands the advertising business like few others; Jerry is a triple-rated William Morris Agency voice-over artist who has voiced national ads for AT&T, Chevrolet, TGI Fridays, Anheiser-Busch, Panasonic, The US Armed Forces and many others.
Jerry will work with his stations reading their ads and promos, because he understands radio isnt about host ego, its about high levels of performance, and its about business.
Jerry shows up 5 days a week, 3 full hours a day because his work ethic is second to none.
Mark Masters, CEO of TRN Enterprises, notes that, Jerry Doyle is the vanguard of talk radios next evolutionary step, and he has been setting the standard for talk radios profitable, saleable and sustainable future for some time now, with commentary that is entertaining, memorable and responsible. Good work Jerry, as you jump from the 6th largest show to the 3rd largest show in America - you deserve this day you have earned it.

Interesting press release no?
ping for the list :)
Is this Jerry Doyle the Garibaldi of B5?
I don’t know when Jerry Doyle is live on the air.
In Pittsburgh he’s a late night talker and I’ve never been able to figure out if he was live or time shifted.
He’s a very good, sensible and articulate host. He’s not a bomb thrower and left the R’s to be an I 5 years ago. I haven’t noticed any contradictions or hypocrisy in his positions when I’ve heard him over the years. I’m not an active listener who tunes in just because he’s on but will listen to him when I’m driving etc.
Yes, the same.
I’ve heard of Savage. Never heard of this guy.
He was Garibaldi on Babylon 5.
Apparently he’s a Republican, so he should be ok.
Is this Jerry Doyle the Garibaldi of B5?
Yes, he is the same guy. He also does a better show than Savage.
JD is more of a populist than a the typical talk radio republican.
Never heard of this Doyle guy, but from this press release I’d guess he’s a total bore. Hope I’m wrong.
Yes. He talks about that all the time. I am not sold on his politics. He seems to be more libertarian than conservative.
I love listening to Doyle and have for years, trouble is that the station here often cuts his program short for local high school sports!
He’s had Dwight Schultz (A-Team) fill in for him on few occasions and the guy was a hoot.
I’d rather listen to him then Hannity any day.
I used to listen to him here in the DC area...loved him. He is a tough dude with attitude. Smart. I hated it when they took him off here a year ago or so...he deserves a wide audience.
He grabs the next case.
JAKE: Hmm... No photograph. Name, "Billy Doyle."
The group looks at LISTER.
LISTER: Not necessarily. It's not necessarily me.
LISTER gets up to investigate the suitcase.
RIMMER: Billy Doyle. Well, that's a name that came from the wrong side of the the tracks, isn't it? You can see it all now: a youth spent in and out of corrective institutions. A string of illegitimate children. The wife will be all white shoes, no tights, and blotchy legs.
Has to take up petty crime to cover the court orders for maintenance. Before he knows it he's standing in a bank with a sawn-off shotgun. Somehow it goes off. An old lady gets both barrels through a crocheted bobble hat. All he can do is hide. But where? And then it hits him -- with all his ill-gotten gains he can buy four years in a computer game and wait until the heat's off. So ends the Ballad of Billy "Granny Killer" Doyle.
LISTER let's out a big sigh of relief and hands the case to RIMMER.
LISTER: It's yours.
It’s a good show. Used to listen a few years back
when I lived in the states. Jerry is pretty independent.
He’s a smart guy and good story teller.

Populist! That is the word I was searching for.
I wish they would replace Savage with Kuhner.
>>Is this Jerry Doyle the Garibaldi of B5?<<
Yes, and he reminds listeners of that fact every five seconds. Evidently it’s the only thing he ever accomplished in life. As a talk show host, he sucks. IMHO
