My son is in Manila training his replacements. Nexus Lexis is moving the entire enterprise there.

I am looking at Bohol from my beach in Dalaguete, but a bit rainy now.
They have rebuilt the old pier here, and the word is that there will be a ferry from here to Bohol.
It would sure beat the old way of going.

TERRORISTS?

A "terrorist" threat in Manila? Gee, who knew that there were such a large contingency of Amish living there?

Must be, after all, what other group (probably with the exception of Buddhist) are responsible for all the death, destruction and mayhem throughout the World?

Its what I keep telling the FReepers who say they’ll flee the USA in the event of trouble. The last thing you want to be is a foreigner in a strange land when it all hits the fan.

The mess is global and there’s no place to run.

I have a friend who lives in Honduras part of the time. Despite the stability of Honduras, there is something simmering just under the surface so she and he husband do have and escape plan for returning to the USA.

I think it is becoming clear that Obama’s failure to pursue the war on terror, withdrawing on all fronts while bowing & apologizing, has emboldened terrorists around the world.

Carter policies gave birth to modern terrorism. Obama policies are encouraging terrorism world wide.

Four more years of appeasement will pretty much end foreign vacations for Americans.

To cover for their incompetence (treason) in Libya on 9/11, Billary and Bammy blamed a movie trailer on youtube no one saw for a “protest” that killed the ambassador. Really, a jihadist released from gitmo led a military attack on the embassador.

Now every ignorant jihadist in the world is protesting Hillary’s advertized movie scam via threatening the lives of Americans. In the end, they got caught in the lie (by people who can read) but it’s not going to save the American people whom they scapegoated from the excuse of jihad fury.

All Americans are bumps in Obama’s road. He’s driving a bulldozer.

Your beach sounds very nice. A ferry to Bohol would be nice and very convenient, I'm sure.

Back in the 60s when I was stationed at Clark AB, there was a tribe of Negritos camped outside the perimeter. IIRC, they pretty much could roam all over the base. They carried bows and arrows and lived off the vermin they killed, plus handouts from us. By all accounts they were savage fighters. They had the Jap occupiers terrified; rumor had it that they would slip into Jap barracks and slit every other throat. That did a job on Jap morale.

Same for me at Subic in the ‘80s. My dad worked with them in the ‘50s killing Huks. I still have bow/quiver/arrows he was presented (he politely refused the head of a Huk leader).

I can’t think of many things that would be cooler than having a Huk’s head swinging from my rear-view mirror.

Or on the fencepost in front of your bungalow as a warning not to mess with the family that lives there.

That’d work too. Of course, some of your friendlier neighbors may want to skip that next cocktail party invite.
