Wow. It looks like the Democrat party finally crossed a red line with Catholics. I was starting to wonder whether there was one. Huge mistake by the anti-Christian administration as many Mexican-Americans are practicing Catholics.
You know, the pope was probably more responsible for the downfall of communism more than anyone. Him, Lech Walensa, Reagan and Thatcher. But the pope was the true moral sparkplug.
Thats why they tried to assassinate him.
Wouldn’t it be inspiring to see the RCC lead a similar revolt to socialism here in America? They would find power to do good if the leaders would stand firmly and simply REFUSE to follow the immoral law.
No it was Reagan and the American military, Reagan was the 800 pound gorilla that rallied all the help that he could get, the Pope helped in his way, and Britain helped a lot, Walesa and others, all had a leader to follow that had a global economic and war machine at his disposal and a plan that he had been working on for decades.
Reagan was the man that ended the Cold War, without Reagan, then the Soviet Union would still be there, they were experts at dealing with internal pressures.

“Huge mistake by the anti-Christian administration as many Mexican-Americans are practicing Catholics”
Most of the illegals that vote for Obama don’t know his abortion policies, they just know he gives them free stuff.
When you tell them he’s for abortion, they act surprised.
Definitely not an informed electorate.
WIthout a doubt.
Reagan was the FIRST American president since the end of WWII that did not accept the premise that we needed to “co-exist” with communism. Every other American POTUS since FDR accepted as a foregone conclusion that:
a) we could not defeat communism, militarily or economically,
b) that we should simply “contain” it,
c) and that the idea that the USSR was infiltrating our government and nations on our doorstep were “reds under beds” scares.
Only Reagan was willing to stand up and call communism out for what it was: evil. Only Reagan was willing to predict that it would be assigned to the “ash heap of history.”
Everyone else, of both parties, was far too willing to ‘go along to get along.’
It was a little scary at the time, Reagan was in a very aggressive footing against the Soviets, American and Western mercenaries, and Army Special Forces were fighting and supporting guerrillas, and were present all around the globe.
Hollywood was producing end of the world movies, Soviet leaders were rattling sabers (before they would die, one after the other) the media was screaming REAGAN IS GOING TO KILL US ALL!!!
GIs in Europe were on pins and needles, and those riots and demonstrations when we were trying to put in the mid range missiles, and the terrorist attacks against us, I remember getting off the airplane in Franfurt and seeing the damage from terrorist bombs, it was an exciting period.
Reagan was one tough SOB.
About time ping!
....didn’t the Catholic church endorse Obamacare before it passed?
....And non-Mexican Americans who are Roman Catholics also.
The Pope was part of what I call a “big three” that took communism down.
Dropping all coverage appears to be the most morally sound approach, they wrote.
I've got a better idea. Lay off all the workers and re-hire them as contractors. Pay them well enough to buy their own insurance, but let them deal with "Caesar" as they see fit.
Catholic CPAs and lawyers can probably do a lot of business by developing plans for Catholic employers to legitimately circumvent these outrageous mandates.
It is intrinsically evil to support Obama.
So, with 50 employees, the maximum fine (ahem, tax) is $100,000.00 for not providing any insurance, but the per diem for not providing SCA (Sterilizations, contraceptives, and abotrifacients) is $5,000.00
After a month of providing insurance without SCA, the fine (oops, that's tax) would be $150,000.00
So, screw it. Everyone loses insurance coverage because it's cheaper to just ditch it entirely and pay the fine (oh, dangit, that's a tax).
Thanks Roberts, you putz.
There is an opportunity there, if the GOP will make use of it.
The reason was at that time there was no abortion/contraception mandate.
Essentially the regime reneged on their Executive Order Promise.

Catholic voters favor Obama; Church guide favors Romney and GOP platform
CHICAGO - Almost 24 percent of America’s 301 million identify themselves as part of the Catholic Church. How that voting bloc votes in 2012 could very well determine the outcome of the Presidential race if Catholics are motivated to go to the polls.
According to a poll released Thursday, Catholic voters are siding with re-electing President Obama. In June, Obama held a slight edge over Mitt Romney among Catholics (49-47 percent), but since then, Obama is surging ahead, and now leads 54-39 percent, according to a Pew Research poll conducted on Sept. 16....
(The "but" part kills me.)
Meaning they never came out FOR Obamacare explicitly by name, but did OK the idea of nationally-backed health insurance safety-net in principle.
And then they didn't come out AGAINST Obamacare until the bottom half of the final inning, when it became clear that Obamacare wasn't going to exclude funding for abortion, and wasn't going to support conscientious-objector opt-outs.
Then also, at the bottom-of-the-ninth, the Catholic Health Association in the person of Sr. Carol Keehan, DID endorse it, and, with ("pro-life Democrat") Rep. Bart Stupak, tipped it into the basket.
The CHA is not a "canonical Catholic organization," but is a professional trade association for CEO's of Catholic hospitals. Came out directly against the USCCB. Which doesn't make an iota of difference to most people, and therefore, as far as most people were concerned, it was "the Catholic Church."
Grrrrrr...
